Thanks a lot for posting!
Do you happen to have an Endura (and/or Delica) and if, would you mind posting comparison-pics, especially concerning bladelength and closed length?
Ask and ye shall receive! Delica on top, then Endela, then Endura46BDFBF1-B93A-4B33-B80B-FEEF5C40A1C7.jpeg7EFD4FDF-0CC2-4E72-8256-38AB9BA105EC.jpeg
Added to my post above: The Endela-handle really could be the best of the Endura-family.knives! Probably long enough for all hand sizes except extremly XXXL, as wide as the Enduras (so not narrowed, like the Delicas) and as said in another thread, the finger placements are less pronounced with less "pointy" spots between them.
Do you feel a difference concerning comfort between the three models?
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

Thank you, Sir!! That´s very nice of you and really appreciated!!

One last thing I´d be interested in (just if you find the time eventually): How "handlefilling" is the Endela-blade compared to Endura and Delica? I mean, how much of a gap is there between the tip and the actual end of the handle when the knife is closed? In other words, how good is the blade to handle ratio. This not beeing good in the Delica (the blade could be a lot longer bur still fit in the handle) is one thing I don´t like in this model (though I fully understand one adavantage: Makes the Delica legal in more places and that´s sure a good thing!)
Hopefully, this is what you were asking for. Endela is in the middle.

Thank you so much for taking time and effort, that´s exactly what I wanted to see!

While not as "handle filling" (= not featuring an as good blade to handle ratio) as the Endura, the Endela is still better in that regard than the Delica - I actually measured the gaps between tip and end of the handle on your pic - and just fine the way it is.

And the good thing: Sal obviously designed the Endela so to be still legal in places with a 3" blade limit... reading it´s specs, the Endela literally has a blade length of 2.99 ". Clever move, and great that by that more people will be able to carry that thing legally!
(EDIT Just nonsense, of course the BLADE of the Endela is 3.41, just the EDGE is 2.99 (thanks Woodpuppy!!); So still a clever move by making it legal in places with a 3.5 limit (but NOT a 3.0 limit)

The Delica I’ve found to be too small. The Endura, at times, is too large and weighty in the pocket. The Endela, so far, seems to be a happy medium of all factors.

Thanks again. I also think that for many people the Endela will be the perfect size (for me it generally will further on be the Endura, but still I´ll get an Endela too!). I once asked, what took Spyderco so long to fill that so popular "size-niche", Sal replied that they hoped the Stretch would take that place.

Concerning the pure weight: To be honest, I personally would probably not notice any difference in real life... (Endela 3.1 oz, Endura 3.4)

You´re right of course!! thanks for correcting me!! So all I said is true only for places with 3.5 (and not 3.00) blade length limits!

Thanks, that's nicely said! :)
You're right, your "inches and ounces" ;) are very unfamiliar for me (and I guess most Europeans). Still:In the "knife-world" the categorization in "3 inch class" "3.5 inch class" and the like is quite common, so that's something I should be quite used to by now.

The real question is when are they going to give us something in between the Delica and Endela?? The Deldela!? Or the Endlica??! :D

Kind of joking, but kind of serious as well. A Deldela (probably shoudn't go with Endlica...lol) with a wire clip and M390 (now that we know it can done in Seki) would be stellar.

Here is another Endela - vid: https://youtu.be/pk5c6rxcKzw&t=328s

Interesting in this one are the size comparisons to other knives (Mini grip, Para 3, PM2, Smock...) starting at about 2:15 in the vid:

Really, one (of many, for me...;) ) great aspect of the Endela should be, that it has a very generous, roomy handle. So it should be a good choice for people with bigger hands who just want a comfortable, not cramped grip just on the regular handle (remember that the "points" between the finger placements are less pronounced and mellowed out compared to Endura /Delica). Looking at the comparison, the Endela offers about the same usable grip area on the handle as the PM 2 on handle and choil combined (And I repeat myself: You can still choke up on the Endura-/Endela-Ricasso quite comfortably and this is really NOT unsafe).
I personally still prefer the size of an Endura (but will get an Endela certainly!), but for many people the Endura is just TOO longish and the grip area more than needed. Those should go Endela imho, if they like the overall style.
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

But...and here is the important question...will it fit into the watch pocket of my jeans? :p :D

Just kidding. I am looking forward to handling this one. I have a far over priced brick and mortar across the city that will get some in. I’ll gave to get my bike and make the trek.

For one, I'm thrilled that this is the first "regular model" offering in SE with FFG among the Delica/Endura lineup.

For two, like the others I've wanted a step up just a little bit from the Delica size but not all the way up to the Endura. I'm really looking forward to having one of these and it's hard to resist the urge to get one of each in PE and SE.

After more than a decade of collecting Spydercos I've come back more and more to enjoy the perfect balance and simplicity of both the Delica and Endura. I think this and the upcoming Harrier2 will be amazing EDCs.
