Post by SG89 »

This is showing up on the bay... DLT exclusive? Haven't heard about this one yet but admittedly am out of the PM2 loop. Also the Endela SE and PE is also on the bay

Yep, agreed. Tnis has to be the DLT exclusive follow up to their other one from last year. Maybe the new reveal policy is forcing dealers to keep these hush until they are actually in hand? I wonder how much notice there will be before the drop?? I better get on eBay and sell some stuff myself so I can grab one of these. DLC with tan looks great and I don't have a PM2s or any 20CV at the moment sooooo....will be buying if the funds are there for me.

Looks nice, I just think those scales would be a pain to keep clean if used or carried regularly.

Ah, I see.

I don't think DLC has much purpose on a 20cv blade, but I'm sure that loads of people will like the look of it. I predict an instant sell out. :)

I am gonna pass because I dislike coated blades but that is a great price for a good looking knife.

This is my main concern and the only reason I will probably pass. Sucks because I love DLC blades and this combo looks great.

I've been slathering EDCI on the lighter G10 (Jade, Burnt Orange, etc) and it as seems to help. When they get dirty I use a moistened cloth to wipe clean.....works well so far. YMMV

I'M definitely in on this exclusive. ...great price for sure!

Looks nice but I'm over my limit on PM2s plus I already have the satin version. So I'll sit back and watch this one.

I wouldn't want to use this while I'm working with greasy hands but the scales don't show dirt as bad as I thought they would. The color is actually a shade or two darker in person than how it appears in that pic. If you like how it looks I say go for it. G10 cleans up easy enough and there's only so many opportunities to get a PM2 in 20CV, M390, 204P etc. It's also a great platform for dying the scale if you like. Great price too.
Of all the things I've lost I miss my mind the most!

This is a great looking knife! I really love the look of DLC with earth tone scales. It is my favorite combo on a non-Salt knife. And I am glad they went with the standard peel ply G10 rather than smooth or fine textured. I'd like to see this color combo on some other models. I'd really like the Native LW, Manix LW, and Para 3 LW in this combo with light tan FRN.

I will be grabbing one of these PM2s for sure! Nicely done DLT!

The problem for me, is I wear blue jeans every day at work. I had what I thought was my dream knife (CS exclusive Para 3/DLC) I have a real thing for the orange/black combo of anything... any time I carried that knife the scales would get dirty, even if it we're just a trip to the grocery store. I eventually got tired of it and reluctantly sold it. I worry this color would be just as bad, if not worse of a problem.

But, I also wouldn't mind doing a blade swap with my OD green model and step that knife up from S30V to 20CV!! Going to have to think about this one for a few days.

Luckily you have a few days to think about it.

It should be easy to dye these scales just about any color desired. I have the satin version and have been planning a day to dye, but can't decide on a color yet.

Im also guessing it wont be too long before we possibly see the St Nicks DLC 4v Red PM2 and the REC version of their famous Para 3 in PM2 but with a different steel. Thats not to mention the return at some point of the Maxamet versions... Then of course the doors for a salt are a little more open due to the early success of the Para 3 light weight.

I dont earn enough dough.... DOH!

Maybe my eyes are getting old, but I think KeithKevinKen shows the knife at the end of the Shaman s90v video he posted today.

An REC PM2 would sell out in record time I think... And I'd probably be one of them lol. I really liked the color scheme, but despite it's compactness the Para3 isn't as practical in size for me as the Military/PM2; currently I only have the 52100 Para3. A PM2 REC exclusive would sure be a hit though!
My collection so far: 52100 Military (2); 52100 PM2 (2); 52100 Para3; Stretch2 V-Toku; KnifeWorks M4 PM2; BentoBox M390 PM2; BentoBox S90V Military; Police4 K390; S110V PM2; SS Delica AUS-6; Wayne Goddard Sprint VG-10
Wish list: Hundred Pacer; Sliverax; Mantra; 52100 PM2 SE; Kapara
