UKPK: Drop point or Leaf?

I've been using my UKPK drop point lately and liking it. With so many Spyderco blades being leaf shaped, I think the UKPK drop is a nice change, and I also find it aesthetically pleasing and great in use.

I'm curious where my fellow forumites fall on this issue. Which UKPK blade style do you like best?

I go back and forth on this. I voted leaf. The Tenacious actually has one of my favorite blade shapes. I would like to see them use that more.

I like leaf blades in general. But I don't really like the leaf blade on the UKPK, I don't know why.

It's what's holding me back from picking up an S110V UKPK.

The Drop Point UK Penknife is literally as perfect as an urban EDC blade can get. It's slim, looks great, is unthreatening and unassuming. I also love the Stretch as one of my all-time favorite knives, and the shape evokes that nicely while being a little easier to carry in lightweight pants.

Interesting poll results so far. I noticed that all UKPK specials so far have only been made in Leaf, so I had assumed that was the best selling shape. I very much prefer Drop and for that reason I almost passed on the HH special.

My first UKPK was DP, but I switched it to the S110V version, which is only available as leaf shaped. Which is fine because it is :spyder: iconic, classic. And it makes the Stretch more special. :)

For years I wait for UKPK with drop point blade in 52100, so it's easy to know what I choose over leaf shaped blade.

Any knife can do this. Just either file down the top of the blade or the kicker, where it contacts the backspacer. Nothing to worry about.

As a matter of fact the drop point actually curves up more than the leaf. The point is actually less "dropped". So in theory it would be more likely to be come exposed, although as already stated that's easily fixed.

Another vote for the drop point. Less bulky in the pocket, more discreet to the eye, useful belly without sacrificing the benefits of a pointy tip. Still kicking myself for moving on my G10 DP way back. I'm waiting patiently for a wood and titanium, or a coyote G10 sprint run in Elmax :D

Drop point for sure, it greatly reduces the amount of spine I have to grind down.

I really like the look of the drop point. Searched for one in bd1n when they first came out. It turns out that as much as I want to experiment with the steel, I always grab the leaf (s110v) because the shape just works better. One time (just once), I even swapped out blades half-way through some cutting.

I like both just fine, but voted drop point because it’s a bit narrower in the pocket and the blade is a bit more nimble when turning in the cut, like when peeling and sectioning fruit.

Also there’s plenty of leaf blades already in the lineup.

The drop point UKPK is like a an elegant version of a Li’l Stretch LW, and I love the Stretch.
