I was delayed on posting this due to the forum software mess and forgetting my password.

Last year at BLADE while at the Spyderco booth I mentioned that my oldest son was working on his Eagle Scout. Mrs. Laituri said that if he earned it to contact her. Well it was close, but he finished his project and earned the rank of Eagle Scout. So I got the information to Mrs. Laituri and waited to see what arrived. I think I was just as excited as my son as no amount of online searching was turning anything up. Well I get home from work one day and the boy meets me at the door. Showed me a letter from Sal and a Native with engraving on the blade. Since receiving it, the knife has only left his pocket when he has to go to school. Of my 2 sons, he is the one who the knife-nut gene has been passed on to. He'll be at BLADE this year - I promised him a custom fixed blade if he got his Eagle Scout. He'll also be looking at the ParaMilitary 3 LW.

Enough of the proud Dad moment, I've been blessed to meet some wonderful people in the knife community. I've carried a Spyderco knife for a long time. Not only do I have faith in the product, but I know that I am supporting a company made up of outstanding people.

That's awesome! Congratulations to you and your son, that's truly a great accomplishment. A close friend of mine achieved Eagle Scout, he then went on to become valedictorian of my high school graduating class and is now a mayor of a town in Vermont.

As always, well done Spyderco crew! You guys truly are a great bunch of people.

As the father of an Eagle Scout and an up and coming Star Scout, I understand how proud you are of your son. My Eagle is the knife nut who introduced me to Spyderco. It's great to see how awesome a company (and the good folks at Spyderco) Spyderco really is!
