My 3 versions of this knife came in yesterday
1 PE pointed
2 SE ( 1 pointed, 1 blunt tip)
I knew they were going to be small and thin, but I'm suprised how small and how incredibly thin they'd be.

So i got set to testing them. I made chicken paprikesh!

I tried out the PE on a massive onion first, only to find out the onion was just too big, so i went for the chef knife. More importantly, i think this one needs sharpening right out the package.

The other two didn't disappoint at all!
The pointed SE went through tomatoes effortlessly. It was amazing. Wow!

I decided to work with some smaller onion for a bit of garnishing, so i pulled out the blunt tip SE, push cuts were effective. I was genuinely impressed.

The ergos were good on these little guys but at the same time I did wish for a bit more knuckle clearance than what they offered me.

If spyderco offers bigger versions of these I'll be hard pressed to turn down the offer.

Even then, they'll be great boning and pairing knives
I like them

I’m still completely lost on the purpose for this knife. They already make paring knives, who actually wants an offset paring knife?

I just got it for the steel and the fact it was $20. I haven't used it yet but I promise I'll report back if the shape isn't good to use.

I honestly can't wait for the counter puppy because my wife always leave the knives out at least with that handle they won't be dull all the time too. I really wish it was BD1N and not 7cr. Probably about like the MBS26 which is a bit quick to blunt. Time will tell if it really makes a difference anyway but for now I'm excited to use my new blade tonight.

I got one of each, in all colors. Time will tell how they do but so far so good.

I put my edge on the 2 pe's and didn't feel the se's needed improved.

We've only used the pe's so far chopping and slice cutting on a bamboo board, me with the pointed, wife rounded.
There's no doubt early on they do better than our Chicago cutlery 420hc knives, and are so far keeping up with the custom zwear/cruwear blade.
More later...

For slicing on a board, an offset is even more important on a small knife.

I enjoy using them. I like the curve in the blade so I can rock it back and forth to really mince the garlic. The thin blade is good for peeling ginger too. The bd1n performed very well and didn't stain.

I'm planning on buying another plain edge and a serrated model to actually cut rope and stuff. It's a cheap way to test out bd1n.

Interesting to see a collector's club version. So now we know the serrated black handle of the K14 is a variant. I suppose the plain edge black handle is likely the main one, with all the others being variants as well? I'd also guess the PE black handled K13 blunt tip is the main version and all the others are variants, so if anybody has insight please let me know so I can update the wiki.

MBS-26 is a proprietary steel made by Daido

Daido is a steel foundry. Masahiro is a knife maker that buys steel fro Daido. At least, that is my understanding.
