Need something new, help please

Ok so I spent some time on the SM today sorting out the edge on my Para 2.



Now after using it some I am wanting something new. Like the Compression Lock but also have one of these and enjoy this style of lock too.



So I am thinking something along those lines but take into account I would love a Sprint or exclusive steel. Bit of a snob.

If you like the PM2 then I recommend one in Cruwear. The steel is much different than 204P

There is also the Stretch it will surprise you if you never used one. ZDP189 is a nice steel.

Hungarian in CTS-XHP is Awesome

Ikuchi is a pleasant surprise for S30V

If you want to go large check out the Hundred Pacer also in CTS-XHP it is a wonderful knife.

How about the Manix 2 in CPM 4V and marbled carbon fiber? They are not cheap, but if you want BBL, interesting steel, and exclusivity, plus premium and beautiful handle material, it should do nicely.

If you like the Sage 3 lock you should get a Manix. Lots of steel options too. My other suggestion would be the Kapara. It’s S30v but a great knife.

You need a Manix 2. :) Cruwear, 4V, 20cv, s90v, xhp, m4 with or without DLC, so many cool choices. :)

OP, with an open ended question like that you’ll get everybody's favorites! Do you want stainless or took steel? Edge longevity or ease of sharpening? Do you want primary market map pricing (retail) or epay secondary market pricing?

Stretch 1 in HAP 40... amazing steel imho. Though if you are a (quote!) "snob" you might not like backlock, FRN and burnt orange scales ? (I personally prefer a good backlock over any other lock, really like FRN and am totally ok with the particular color).

I can't recommend the Caribbean enough, or a Sliverax. Both compression locks and both different enough to give you some variety.

Maybe get a D'Allara 3 before they're gone for good. I suspect that they'll be pretty hard to find in the not too distant future.

I got one of these and it's very nice. At first the lock seemed impossibly difficult to operate but with break in and practice it's better now.
Thin, slicey blade. Thin handle, wire clip. It's a great EDC. The full length steel backspacer looks good too.

Yeah not a back lock fan. Also EBay inflated prices I tend to avoid but have no issues with used Spydies.

Some say the detent could be stronger, which is fair. Mine flips reliably but I wouldn't mind if it were stronger. I have two, one with the flipper tab ground off and one that still has it. It's really hard to say which I like better.
