Nobody needs a Rolex, but some folks own them, and other watches that cost thousands, some spend several hundred dollars on a watch, some are quite content with a Timex. Truth is, unless you have a job that requires a watch that's always in sync with NIST's atomic clock, the cheapest digital watch you can buy is "accurate enough". Same with ball point pens, a Pilot G-2 writes "well enough" for some people while others choose to spend more. Some even choose to spend hundreds of dollars on a Montblanc, a Visconti, or a custom "tactical pen". It's true with cars as well. Some folks are content with a Kia or a Chevy , some want a BMW, Lexus, or Mercedes, all will "get you where you want to go". It's that way with most things in life. Call it snob appeal, call it appreciation for the finer things in life. Why should knives be different? If a Tenacious "does the job" for you, there's nothing wrong with that.

I recently sold all my knives and bought a Knife Monkey. Y'all need to step up your EDC game.

Please keep in mind this is a discussion for serious knife users. If you intend to make a joke of those in pursuit of optimal apex stability, maybe you should reconsider your position!!!11

... My next purchase will likely be a Caribbean sheepsfoot.

I've been thinking about getting a Caribbean myself. I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts, if/when you do get one.
Get the Caribbean, it is awesome and does not disappoint. The Caribbean is one of my favorite Spyderco knives.
