Will there ever be
Will there ever be
Will there ever be a production run on knives in steels like M390, 20CV or M4?
Re: Will there ever be
The Gayle Bradley 2, Advocate and another knife... can't think which one, are production knives in M4. But your right, I don't believe there's any others in M390 or 20CV

Re: Will there ever be
Sustain is CPM 20CV
Re: Will there ever be
I wanted a PM2 or Manix 2 in one of the mentioned steels.
I’m usually at work when a Sprint drops and I’m not paying twice the price from someone wanting to flip theirs.

You may be in luck, there's going to be a Manix 2 released this year in M390. There's also been rumblings about the DLT exclusive PM2 in M390 being re-released this year as well. The Manix 2 is a definite though.

The GB2 is pretty nice and comes in M4.
At the moment you can get a brown Para2 in S35VN. Otherwise you will have to wait for one of the M390 exclusives coming up but they may go fast. The M390 Para2 sure did the first time.

The Zoomer is 20cv. The upcoming Province is 4v. I know there are others I am not thinking of.
Re: Will there ever be
The disco'ed Mantra 1 and 2?
M390 or 20CV? Probably not, because on US made knives the regular production upgrade from S30V is to S110V. The Chaparral and a few other Taichung models have CTS-XHP as standard.
There's always S110V for $20-$30 more on almost all Golden made models, or ZDP-189 for a similar price increase on Seki City made models. Or CTS-XHP on the Chaparral line.

Yep, nailed it!
And regarding the re-commissioning of the DLT M390 PM2, I was under the impression that was definitely happening this year, we just don't know quite when. That thing might set a record for the fastest sell-out after the drop. We could make book on "how many minutes?"
My collection so far: 52100 Military (2); 52100 PM2 (2); 52100 Para3; Stretch2 V-Toku; KnifeWorks M4 PM2; BentoBox M390 PM2; BentoBox S90V Military; Police4 K390; S110V PM2; SS Delica AUS-6; Wayne Goddard Sprint VG-10
Wish list: Hundred Pacer; Sliverax; Mantra; 52100 PM2 SE; Kapara

Re: Will there ever be
I would love to see CPM-CRUWEAR become a production steel for all Golden made folders. Replace S110V with CPM-CRUWEAR, keep the "Blurple" G10 scales, and have the option of DLC or Stonewash for each model. I would be broke...but Cruwear-rich! :D

I don't think s110v should be replaced with cru-wear. It's the high end stainless option, and it's great for that. Put Cru-wear in there instead and you'll get people who don't know how to take care of it buying it for the "high end" and getting annoyed at staining.

I think as long as there is a disclaimer on the retail websites and the little card in the box that says "this knife is made of carbon steel and will rust, blah, blah, blah" that should be fine. Cleveland sold golf wedges for years made of carbon steel that rusted and used the same disclaimer. And some of the old Scotty Cameron putters were like this. Just disclose it up front. No big deal.
Or don't replace S110V and just make it another production option. I just get the feeling that S110V isn't a huge seller these days, but I could be wrong.

Re: Will there ever be
I still want a Slysz Bowie Salt, or Sage 2 or 5 Salt, with a Vanax blade. I'd settle for a Native 5 "Super Salt" with a bright green handle and Vanax blade.

Heck yeah, i'll take mine with a DLC blade and hardware. What a knife that would be! I know Vanax is hard to come by, but maybe a flash batch of Vanax Native Salts??
