Every time I hold and use this knife, I’m reminded at how great it feels. Sold ergos, front and rear guards, lightweight, strong blade grind, and useful blade shape. I was thinking that this would be the perfect platform for a more general survival/tactical/soldier knife. That kind of knife needs to be a plain edge, imho, and so I’d want a different steel than H1. If corriosion resistance needs to be a priority, then LC200N would be the logical choice. However, I’d love to see this in 3v for toughness. Of course, it cold also be coated to help protect from rust and/or to limit reflection. I view it like a fixed blade military and we all know what a great tool that is.
Any thoughts?

All sounds good. Add Cru-Wear to the list as well.

It is very close to being a Temperance2LW by design. Since I love my Temperance2 I would be all over a Jumpmaster2 in an interesting steel if it was flat ground and plain edge.
I would probably rehandle it because my Schempp Rock taught me that bidirectional texturing is way too aggressive for a hard use fixed blade.

How much tougher is 3V then LC200N? I was under the impression that LC200N is very tough, similar to H1

I would absolutely love one in Cruwear.
Do we think there’s any chance of this happening?

Do the Japanese work with Cru-Wear, LC200N, or CPM 3V? It took Sal & Eric years to get them to concede to work with CPM S30V.

I'm all for the Jumpmaster 2, but I'd rather have LC200N in PE.

Only thing holding me back k from buying the Jumpmaster 2 are the serrations.I'll buy a plain edge in a second.
