My favorite would definitely be the Nishijin R model -- the length of the Manix, PM2, or Stretch, thin carry, nice thumb ramp and choil, and I love the blade shape. I've long wished they'd bring out other versions, like G10 for example. I've picked up a spare, in case the spirit ever moves me to make some other type of scales for it, though I really like the Nishijin -- just like variety as well.

Also like the original D'Allara plain and SE versions for their hand-filling grip and the new D'Allara 3, for it''s very comfortable feel in hand despite very thin carry. And last but least :D, the great man Ed Shempp's CF Balance.

Mark my words, this baby is going to be so coveted ....

Late to the party, but my "gems" got already mentioned anyway:

Stretch 1, especially in the quoted version

and: Chaparral FRN (someone said in another post: "A knife everybody should own" - never would have believed that just by solely looking at it´s specs, but since the day I own one: YES, totally correct! :) )

Though I still maybe would not have mentioned these models in this partiular thread, since they are not really unknown hidden gems, but "just" very underapreciated imho.

Thank you so kindly "Mr. Blonde" for displaying what I also think is a "slam dunk" for the Spyderco Hall Of Fame ( that is if we ever create one). The TEMPERANCE 1 model that you so eloquently displayed in almost every variant including the trainer>> to me is one that they just got perfect from the "get-go". I still use my PE & SE versions of the TEMP 1 almost on a weekly basis. It's not many weeks that go by to where I don't use at least one of my TEMP 1 models.
I'm going to continued to scream off the roof tops for a Sprint Run of the TEMP 1 in PE & SE both either in one of the Nitrogen based steels or one of the newer Supersteels. I would love to see the Spyderedged version of the TEMP 1 in XHP or even the older 440V for that matter. And I would just drool if they had a Plain edged version of the TEMP 1 in either M390 or CPM 10V. That particular fixed blade design is just so near perfect that it only needs new materials to make it a superstar even by today's standards IMO.

For me it is the Rhino. I cannot understand why it is not a top seller. I picked up two used, sold by people who did not realize they had gold in their hands.

I like my Wolfspyder. I was at the Golden shop last year and there it was. Without a second of hesitation I purchased the thing. It’s a nice little piece.

This is the only model I appreciate the compression lock in. Otherwise I I could live without the finger pinching dam* comp/lock.

Nishijin ZDP-189 Dragonfly. It is no longer made but is a beautiful knife. I am glad I go one. (wish they would bring it back)
