Team "Para 3" here! :D LOL

My box from the first ever run of Para 3's says "Para 3"

I wonder if its only the S35VN models marked this way ?

I suspect all of the recent C223GPBNBK run are marked this way. Mine certainly is. Probably an Oopsie! :-)

That is definitely kind of weird! Just like my Chaparral LW came in a box that was labeled "Made in Japan" though it's out of Taichung.

Just got my Paramilitary 3 in today as well.

He says "Paramilitary 3" 6 seconds into the video.

I remember in the past there was stern no this is not a Paramilitary 3 it is called a Para 3 and is not a part of the Military Paramilitary family it is its own Blah, blah, blah, then as mentioned above I heard Eric say this and smiled thinking finally caved into the obvious and now it is called a paramilitary3, now further confirmation on the box. Laughs. It should have always been Paramilitary3.

Did Spyderco just CQI a name? I love it haha.

It only makes sense, it's basically a Paramilitary 2, except with a 3" blade. I remember so many people being chastised for calling it a "PM3" on the Spyderco FB group, lol

A simple lightweight design with minimal parts! I like how they kept machining on the blade identical to the G10 versions. ..including detent ball ramp! Can already imagine the different blade combos for the Paramilitary 3 LW!

If they had just stuck with "Minuteman", all this name confusion wouldn't exist. I really wish they had stuck with that name, it fits the knife perfectly.

Yeah the Para 3 didn't make any sense.

The title of that video says "Para™ 3". I would guess the addition of the trademark (™) should signify there has been no name change.
In casual conversation saying Paramilitary 3 or PM3 doesn't matter, everyone knows what you're referring to. Officially though, it's still just Para 3. :spyder:

I think the real confusion comes if the Paramilitary 2 ever sees enough design change to warrant a name change. :confused:

That's easy just call it the Para 2.

The name if the knife is the Para 3.

The reference in the video was an honest mistake, as was the error in the labeling of the C223GPBNBK.

We apologize for any confusion these errors may have caused and sincerely hope you consider raising your threshold of "calamity"...

I think he was poking fun at the fervor with which people corrected others for calling it the “Paramilitary 3”. The OP is imagining all of these orthodox Para 3 acolytes heads exploding in unison when their deity commits that very same heresy.

Never mind someone answered this in between posting.
