Knife drawer in my toolbox. Trying to control knife impulses and the need to buy a workbench with wider drawers.

I don’t have a drawer, but I do have a cabinet. I also like to use the clear plastic Plano and Ozark Trail cases because they are have adjustable compartments that can accommodate a lot of different size knives.

ETA pic of cases open. Most of the boxes are empty.

After seeing this I am not feeling so bad about all my purchases now. Did you guys keep your boxes? I do. Will pull some from the safety deposit box and post some pics later.
Yes, I have all of my boxes (except for the few used knives I bought without boxes). They take up some space, but I enjoy having them, and so I keep them.

I've kept about half of my boxes.

:Some nice knives I'm seeing here fellas

Seeing all these fixed blades and threads about them is starting to make me consider one...I just don't want to fall down the rabbit hole like I have with folders!
Fixed blades are a lot of fun. Designers can do things with a fixed blade you can't with folding knives, and the handles are a lot more comfortable.

I'd say about 90% of my knives came with their box and I've kept them all.
They're currently in storage, but I go out there every 3-4 months or so to add boxes of new purchases :p

Really kicking myself for not picking up that pink zome delica.
I feel the same way, would have given it to my daughter when she’s old enough.

Ahhh ... the upper drawers of a tool chest ... great idea ... why didn't I think of that! And, you can even lock the unwanted out while locking down the blades that grow legs and wander off. If I had thought of this, my sockets and box ends would have been gone long ago...

WRENCHES!!! We don't need no stinking WRENCHES!!!

Here's most of my drawers! :)

My small clip less knives. These are carried daily as I am in slacks at work. DF2 is my favorite. But I do enjoy the others greatly as well, particularly the Chaparral.
Image

Medium knives, Delicas and Calys (mostly). Delicas were my first Spydie and still have a definite soft spot for me. But these aren't carried as often.
Image

Remaining FRN knives. Like the Endura more than I thought I would. And really like the Hungarian.
Image

Most of my Framelocks. Favorites are the Techno and the Mantra.
Image

Mixed drawer. Enjoy the P3s and the original GB. Natives just don't fit my hand really well, so I should probably get rid of those.
Image

Overall, the PM2 and Military is my favorite model. Only one missing here is my BHQ M4 model which is getting ready for a dunk in the Rit Dye tank. Favorite PM2 is the Rex45. Favorite Military is the 52100, or the 204P, or the Ti/CF S90V... At this point, I don't prefer the Manix 2 XL or the K2. Should probably get to selling those.
Image

Fixed blades! Love 'em.

I have debated on a different type of case though as my stepdaughter is getting older and having friends over playing, I'd hate for any of them to wander into my workout/knife room and cut themselves thinking my knives are cool or something.
I've been there and went with completely lockable cases which solved that challenge. I do think you'll end up needing more than one case though. ;)

And it can be bolted down. I have one upper chest just for my edc. Wallets, watches, multi-tools, flashlights, chargers, cables, knives, keys, etc. I have one drawer for my carry firearm, magazines, and various holsters. I stop by my box on the way out the door and grab everything I need for the day, then lock it.

For some reason my wife is blind to the storage potential of toolboxes. She knows they're there, she just hasn't figure out how to displace my stuff and store her clothing in them. Because of this revelation, I store all my stuff in toolboxes. :D
