I am a bit surprised Spyderco doesn't offer this for such a popular model, and not to certain why Spyderco offers it only on the combo blade.

Looks like it adds $9.75 to the cost ... so $87.75 for the unit.

Is anyone else interested in a Delica 4 FRN w/ VG-10 Black FFG PE blade?

Considering that the extra $9.75 is greater than a 10% price increase for something that doesn't add functional value; no, I am not interested. I only see coated blades for pocket knives feasible if the steel is high carbon-low chromium and will reside in a continuously humid to wet environment a decent amount of its life and will be susceptible to corrosion that is beyond the users control (I.E. sweaty pockets, salty environment, etc.). There are also debates that a coated blade can and does hinder blade performance in use. I see no other value than looks and I just don't have the funds to purchase a knife for looks alone :cool:

Yes, sure. Though a black bladed Delica is nothing I am really missing, it could very well be that I would have bought that version for the single one Delica I want to own. (Delica generally is a knife I like, but do not need more than one single piece in my collection. And that one I already have.. ).

Hoping the LC200N Salt 2 comes in this option too.

I don't own any Delicas or Enduras at the moment, but I really want some TiCN coated PE versions. Black FRN is fine, but I think for these I would love to see the black blades with Olive Drab Green. I'm really surprised Olive Drab Green and Flat Dark Earth arent production FRN color options for the Delica, Endura, and Golden LWs. Seems like they would sell loads of these to the gun crowd.

I own a ZDP delica. I'd much rather see a black coated ZDP blade than VG-10. I just don't see the need for a black blade in this model.

Nope. But a blacked out Police lightweight would make me happy.

Would you rather have blacked out for Navy FRN with Black Blade on the Police LW?? I think I would prefer the Navy/Black for something different. And it seems to go with the whole Police theme! I am really hoping for a Navy/Black K390 Police LW. I'd take this combo in the Delica, Endela, Endura, Dragonfly (PE, Waved, and Wharnie), and Jester while they are at it! I think a whole sprint run is in order! :)

That would not be for me, as I dislike any type of coated blade.
