I think it was still stuck on 'private' when I first posted it. It should be public and viewable now.
Mr Blonde, thank you very much for showing us the goods, these threads are always a joy to go through.

I know you are not allowed to discuss a lot of what you've seen, but can you say if there was anything Hawkbill related in the works? After having tried it, I just can't get enough of that lovely SE Hawkbill style of blade :D

Once again, thanks for sharing!

I did see a hawkbill or two as a concept model, could go either way as far as development into a production model though.

The P4 will be VG-10 as the other blades in the family. I'm also planning a K390 (midnight blue) and ZDP (BRG) versions in time.

It’s really awesome y’all will be making the Police 4 lightweight in VG-10. I’m really going to be looking forward to the release of this Spyderco!

At 76 grams weight the Native Chief is obviously liner-less. Bummer.
Right, at that weight it just can't have liners. But maybe the weight is not stated correctly? At about 1:00 and even more so at about 1:55 into the vid it looks like there were liners. Not sure though, just can look at the vid on my crappy cell phone at the moment.
Did I miss the Native Chief video?

I keep going back to the pictures of the Endela and trying to work out what the overall blade shape/handle shape reminded me of.....it was nagging at me.

Then it hit me: the Endela is basically a supersized Manbug- the blade shape and handle are the exact profile of that little marvel- but turned into an XXXL Version.

And I'm really quite interested in putting it into my hand :)
Warhammer 40000 is- basically- Lord Of The Rings on a cocktail of every drug known to man and genuine lunar dust, stuck in a blender with Alien, Mechwarrior, Dune, Starship Troopers, Fahrenheit 451 and Star Wars, bathed in blood, turned up to eleventy billion, set on fire, and catapulted off into space screaming "WAAAGH!" and waving a chainsaw sword- without the happy ending.

So the Wharnie DFly is a definite buy for me. I don't do a lot of cutting in my job (I'm a teacher), and having something small is a good idea. The Endela isn't legal where I live, but man do I want one. The Endura doesn't quite fit my hand like I expect (Sage line is my point of comparison), and I am thinking the Endela will be juuuuust right.

So practically same weight as the (noticeable smaller) Delica?!

The value folders remind me of evolution on the Cricket design. The Cricket is still one of my favorite utility designs, despite all the sub-optimal things about the shape, clip, lock, etc.
I'd love to see these new folders with reverse-S blades in SE... :D

Thanks for posting the vid and once more for this thread in general!!

On the Emerson DFly: Cool, that such a model exists now, but it is not for me... sabregrind instead of the slicier FFG, less penetration when for example cutting cardboard due to the Emerson feature, most likely less comfortable when you put your finger on the spine compared to the regular model.

I can say that for me among the two upcoming DFlys one will be my most favorite (Wharnie), one my least favorite (Emerson) in the DFly line-up...
