Agreed. Also, I’d be interested in better handle ergos on the two utility kitchen knives.

Re: Kitchen Knife Sprints: Any Interest?
Isn't the collaboration using superblue?
It's not that i think it's a bad idea. But I'm not exactly sure if it would be viable necessarily.
Not when they're focusing on new kitchen models that fill out more niches both in price ranges and styles.
Not to say something like that is impossible to happen, but as of now i think more man hours are being dedicated to becoming a name as well recognized in the kitchen as Wusthof and Shun. That's not to say there isn't already recognition, rather that there is room for growth.
I think it's brilliant that spyderco is now tackling the super low end and the luxury high end. So much in terms of quality to see here

I'd be into sprints of the low end kitchen knives too. Not sure if there is enough margin there to justify it, or how the price would end up though.

I just want a full set in LC200N with the Galley V and a butcher's block that accommodates all of it.
PLEASE?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Edit: No holes in the blades, please. I understand that it's your trademark, but it does not belong on a kichen knife.

If they make a 10” chef with a wide blade, I’ll think about it.

Re: Kitchen Knife Sprints: Any Interest?
The new budget line is going to be made in Golden. Looks like they are going to try to compete with Dexter Russell with affordable domestic knives.
I assume that the Murray Carter knives will be made in Japan since it uses Super Blue. I am torn, they look great but they also look like they use that black/brown burled G10 which I am not a fan of. Yuck!

Not me. I'm perfectly happy with MBS-26 and have zero interest in non-stainless kitchen knives.

Dammit, I was excited about those until I read this thread.

I read somewhere can't remember where think it was in some other knife forum and don't know if it's true, that VG10 steel is only allowed to be used in knives blades Mfg. in Japan.

There was a really good thread on the topic in the past but I'm having trouble finding it

Re: Kitchen Knife Sprints: Any Interest?
I have just gotten into sharpening Chef type knives using besides my Spyderco stones, the Japanese water stones and using the Japanese style of doing the sharping.

Re: Kitchen Knife Sprints: Any Interest?
I love the Spyderco kitchen knives!
But would prefer to do the sprints with their affordable line of knives.
Superblue, Hap40, LC200N, ZDP189 would all be interesting to me.

Oh gosh, a spyderco kitchen knife in solid shirogami would be AWWWSOME, but I won't get my hopes up lol
