I hear ya. But I think we've been spoiled. My first knives as an 8 year old kid were some old Case slip joints from my grandfather and I never lost a finger! I'd like to think as a 35 year old man, I'd be even more cautious and smarter these days...my wife would beg to differ

I finally succumbed to temptation. I can't believe it's still available. The Brits aren't nearly as exclusive thirsty as we are :p . Have one incoming!! $115...doesn't seem like a bad deal! Failed at a Caly 3 Hap40 sprint earlier today. Been desiring this design. I'm pretty excited!!
I have the caly 3 and the ukpk and I have to say I like the ukpk more in the hand. When closed they're both identical, but when open, the blade on the caly is raised slightly higher than the ukpk and changes the whole feel of the knife.

Yeah, Jazz's photos really turned me. Slip joints have always scared me a little. I mean why not get just get a backlock, right? But maybe I will try one and see my fears were unfounded. We shall see. Still tossing this around. I do like wire clips and red G10... :)
I was also concerned about the no lock thing until I bought a UKPK. It will begin to close if you start to back out of a tight cut but use it with your finger in the finger groove and it's a non-issue.

Still thinking about picking up one of these but I already have several red knives.
Of all the things I've lost I miss my mind the most!

if ordering outside of the U.K. be sure to remind them somewhere in your order so they don’t charge you the extra tax.

I’ve got good intel from a U.K. group that this was an 800 knife run and there are a little over 100 left. It doesn’t sound like there will be another run of these soon if ever.

For those on the fence, there is no way you will be disappointed by this knife. With all the CQI improvements it really is the best version of the ukpk ever made.

Makes me feel even better about grabbing one! I really like the red, as my DLT exclusive Manix 2 is moving into my top 3 favorites that I have right now. This knife looks like it will just melt into my hand, I can care less about it locking or not!

Had this knife in the box for over a week, since I got it. It is flawless.

As much as I like this platform (have the FRN model as well), the Ikuchi hasn't been cooperating in sharing EDC tasks with other knives.

Could be worrse...

Okay, I just bought another one. That's way past my budget for the year. Time to save, haha.

It sure is nice, but since it isn't the drop point, I'm passing on this one. Drop point and g10 would grab my attention. I'm sure y'all will enjoy yours. :D

I just checked my credit card statement and they indeed removed the tax from my order. It went from an already reasonable $115, down to $100!! I don't even have this knife yet, but it seems like an absolute steal for $100 shipped!!!

Got one incoming across the pond, and there was much rejoicing (except in my bank account) :p
