Re: Need help to identify 90's Spyderco
Hi KJ,
Welcome to our forum.
Looks like a circa '84 model introduced originally as the "Clippette" and later changed the name to "Executive". There were a few later "evolution" models before it was discontinued.

Re: Need help to identify 90's Spyderco
Will we ever see it brought back as a Sprint Run with new materials or very unlikely?
Re: Need help to identify 90's Spyderco
That is such a cool little knife. Tip up would be nicer, but I love the shape.
- best wishes, Jazz.

That is a very nice little knife, hollow ground and all.

Does it remind anyone else of the old Tim Wenger model?

Re: Need help to identify 90's Spyderco
I would say the Wegner models were likely influenced by Spyderco. I believe he worked for Spyderco and he designed the Spyderco Mouse in the 90's I believe. He left to do Bladetech if memory serves correct.
So many knives, so few pockets... :)

Re: Need help to identify 90's Spyderco
I have one of these that I still use when I need a small, "nonthreatening" knife in an event or theater space. These are great office knives. Kudos on your find.
Re: Need help to identify 90's Spyderco
Ah, right on. I didn't know he was employed by Spyderco. I guess I dont know anything about him but I always liked that old model.
Funny how things work out.
Re: Need help to identify 90's Spyderco
There are just so many of the older/original 1980s-1990s Spyders that I would love to see re-done with modern materials. New handles, new blade steels and modern Spyderedges would make many of the older classics come alive. I started out with the GIN-1, Full SE, Stainless Handled MARINER model and I'll always love that knife. I would love it with a newer/better blade steel, G-10 handle and a upgraded pocketclip. Truly I think it would be hard to keep them on the shelves.
The top of my classic Spyder wish list would be the C-01 Worker model with a complete face lift.
