Well, so much for Spyderco’s “stocking game”. Patience and perseverance, Grasshopper.

I just hope the stock lasts a bit longer, I have to replenish my play funds. Custom gun grips ain't cheap!

Just got mine in. What a great knife! Very different from any Spyder I've had. The flipper wheel takes a little bit to get used to, but works great. I'm finding that, like the designer, I prefer the thumb opening method.
I don't get people who only carry one knife

Thanks for the heads up I got mine last night and love it so much I just ordered it's backup from DLT. This little knife is a Cardboard destroying little fang, love the trailing point design very much like my Hundred Pacer.
My Boss was popping the blade on his MicroTek so I pulled out the Ikuchi and said oh yeah?! well watch this as I flick my BIC!
Lol the guys are wanting to buy one after handling this little :spyder: beauty! :spyder:

What about that handle though?? It seems like one of the least ergonomic handles I've seen in a while. Reminds me of a fancied up piece of kindling wood. I think the blade is awesome looking, I just can't see that handle being comfortable.

The handle is great I tore up a recycling bins worth of Cardboard double walled stuff included and was worried I was putting too much strain on it but no worries and no pains the handle is perfect.
Pull the trigger while DLT still has them I usually only buy back ups of something I predict will one day be rare and if something happens to the knife I do not want to get gouged on the secondary market.
I predict this is one of those knives people will realize they wish they had two of. I also predict it is one of those knives people will kick themselves for not getting.

I should have mine today. Handle looks neutral to me. Clean design. Rather have that than finger grooves. A narrow handle to accommodate a narrow blade is not going to be "ergo." Should still work great. This knife isn't designed for wood carving.

Re: Who else is getting an Ikuchi as soon as they are released?
I really like my Ikuchi. It came yesterday but man has it cut up my finger. I have dry hands so when my finger started to bleed I just assumed my skin cracked but looking at the cuts they're all very straight. Then the knife didn't deploy fully and that's when I felt the burr that had been cutting me. On the top of the flipper wheel at the corner where the compression lock interface is there was a burr and during deploy my finger was rubbing on the corner of the flipper and I was getting cut from it. At least there is an easy fix and I already rubbed it down with a sharpmaker stone just figured I'd warn you guys.
Also I dunno maybe it's just me but I think my blade is warped too

Got mine. First impression is very favorable. I think it's a homerun. My lofty expectations were exceeded! My pivot screw was a tiny bit loose. Tightened it up so no side to side play but it still flips like a champ. I'm comfortable using my index finger but the lighter method is awkward for me. Maybe I'll practice.

Only downside to the knife is the tip, it can get you while closed if you run your finger sideways or pressed into it. Fortunately it tends to prick your attention before it becomes and issue, this did not prevent me from purchasing a second one as a back up though.
