... why make a para3 (the very popular para3) after all you could just shave a few inches off the blade and handle of a para2. Same difference right? Why would anyone bother buying a para 3? Why dont they just buy a Native? It's pretty close to Para 3, sure the lock is different and so is the blade, but it IS close. Right?
Absolutely. I have never seen the point of the Para 3. Everything you say is spot on. I am with you bro !
:D Thanks for the support. Glad someone else "gets it". Forget what's popular, forget what the masses want, Spyderco should only make knives that you and I like. :p

It brings me such joy, the rare moments, when I find someone who thinks exactly as I do !!

I've got it! We can take the CBBL, throw it in the trash and make a Mini Manix with a backlock. Problem solved!

I’d buy a few mini Manix’s!
Here's a mini-manix for sale :)

https://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-Original- ... SwIelcXNr3

;)
Not bad. Make it a tad smaller, add the CBBL, and knock $150 off and I’m sold! Backlocks are great, but they usually aren’t necessary for my uses. CBBL is plenty tough and I wish they used it more often.

Were those gen 1 Manix’s smaller?
I'm just being cheeky. The original Manix was the C95. The Manix I linked to was the second model in the series, and was known as the Mini Manix.

When Spyderco released the second generation of the Manix, they decided to call the "regular" sized Manix the "XL," and refer to the "mini" sized Manix as simply the Manix.

So when people ask for a mini Manix 2, they are asking for a "Mini Mini Manix" :D

Wow, alright! Spyderco has a way with the names. They must enjoy confusing us. For months after release, I called the Para 3 a “Paramilitary 3”.
Most companies just stick to the name/name+1/name+2/name+3 and maybe some name+mini/name+xl but this isn’t enough for them XD
