I'm excited to find out if blades can be swapped from the G10 versions into the LW.

I would like that too, but going to FRN usually means changing the set up a little, and the lock up with it.
Hope it can be done, though.

Do you think a full-scale Military Light Weight would be a very good and needed and desired addition to the Spyderco lineup?

The only Spyderco model that used FRN and a liner lock that I can recall was the Cricket model back in the day. Great knife. The FRN Police will probably fill the void for users wanting a Military lightweight bc I think a lot of users have been clamoring for a backlock Military as well so this will probably be the closest they are likely to get. I don't foresee spyderco making a lw Military but we will see. I am looking forward personally to the Para 3 lw and the Caly 3.5 lw. I hope the Para 3 lw has great success and spyderco is encouraged to develop even more lw models, for instance, a lightweight comp lock lil native.

Somehow, I just don’t see a Military light weight. Structurally it would probably be fine so that’s really a personal taste thing. But, I would love to see a Lil’ Native compression lock lightweight with a somewhat thinner blade. I’d have one for sure.

Oh man, me too. We are thinking about leaving SF and Boston is up there on our places to move (my wife works in higher ed). The thought of having to live with Boston knife laws makes me sad. The Lil' Native is perfect for that city, but I prefer thinner stock.

I am excited about the Para3 lw.
Pretty sure I will go with the serrated version when they drop.

A lightweight Military would be a great idea.
I’m sure a liner lock would work fine with frn scales.

I check Spyderco.com and the major online retailers almost daily hoping to see that this knife has dropped. I'm hoping that the Sage 5 LW will be following soon after. I'm also very hopeful for a Para 3 LW Salt with PE LC200N blade.

Totally linerless except for the embedded leaf of the compression lock

I wouldn’t mind a para3 lw or Salt with a midlock.

If it is as good as I think it will be and coming in at a lower price, I hope the trend continues into the Lil’ Native and Para Military 2 families.

I'll bet it's washerless like the native lw

I hope it's soon, knifecenter has pictures of the para3 lw serrated, hopefully that's a sign.

Do you think it would still be flickable without the washers?

Yes I do. I can flick my native lightweights anyways.
