Hi I am new here and was wondering what spyderco knife would be good for
Working in a warehouse. I also wear gloves so I would need something that
Would have a decent size handle and a good steel and that is crazy expensive
Another question is a pouch that is easy to get a knife and pen and sharpie out
Because I use it all the time

That's a bit fancy for a knife that's going to get thrashed.

Used to work in a warehouse in my mid 20's. If I could go back I would use my Squarehead. Doesn't have a decent handle like you want, but it works ok with gloved hands. Hang it off a lanyard on my wrist or a retractable keychain on my belt. I used to open boxes, set my knife down, grab product and walk off forgetting my knife. Retractable keychain + Squarehead is perfect combo for this. Small and cheap enough so you could carry 2 in case one gets gummed up from opening boxes.

Maybe not the best for cutting down boxes or those poly straps, but maybe something like a Squarehead/Tenacious combo would have you covered.

I wouldn't call cutting cardboard, tape, nylon pallet straps and stretch film getting "thrashed"

last time I worked in a warehouse I carried a Military in S60V.

If you want something really affordable check out the combo edge Byrd Cara Cara for $20-25

I carried a Manix 2 CPM4V and didn’t trash it for warehouse work. I did change the scales though.

I work in a warehouse and switch between a number of different knives that all do well for me.

Off the top of my head, the VG10 Wharncliffe Delica, Combo Edge Delica, Lil native, and Squarehead are probably my most used at work right now.

That's more so what I was getting at. I'd hate to drop that knife in those scales, on the concrete!

I used to use my first Spyderco in a warehouse. Cruwear Manix 2. It was great although I was always a little worried about the tip. Somewhere in an old post I talked about wanting a Manix with more of a sheepsfoot to give it a stronger tip. I think one of the Caribbean models has a blade like what I was after. Also the D’allara. Actually if I still worked in that setting I’d prob grab a D’allara as it’s as close to what I was after as I think I’d ever get.

I open a fair amount of boxes and i tend to find my Dfly works for most of it but if i get worried about breaking the tip or something I'll switch to my lil native.

If you need more blade or a bigger handle than me,
Maybe look into a delica (or endura!) Warncliff.

If you need something beefier than that, maybe a manix 2 LW (maybe look at the s110v version)

I worked in a warehouse for many years and always thought my Yojimbo2 worked well. I didn't cut a lot of cardboard or open many boxes but I did cut lots of shrink wrap and all different types of banding.

I'd go with an SE native 5 light weight. Great for pallet strapping material, boxes, shrink wrap, etc, etc. I cut most of those things and a decent amount of manila rope too.

Caribbean, if you can swing it.

Or

Native 5 Salt, if you can't.

Try one of the Leatherman sheaths. The main slot will fit a good sized Spyderco, while the accessory slots will hold a pen and sharpie.
