How many times have you bought a $200 knife?
Just don’t do it the next 3 times and there’s the cash, really anything in Spyderco’s line up is affordable in the grand scheme of things- the question is do you care enough to afford it

Am I missing something. $520
Perhaps this would help put it in perspective ?

Or another perspective. http://bobbyowsinski.blogspot.com/2012/ ... z5fGUODXow

Compared to this the Paysan is a pretty good deal.

Well, the real problem with stuff like this is that to *really* experience the positive effects of a mod like this, you have to apply *every* mod available, thus through additive synergy (tm) your system will be transported to perfection!

M'pingo discs, "beaks" and cable lift systems used to be my audiophile pet peeves, before seeing a $3.50 wooden knob being sold for $500...

Good solid core speaker cable, RF chokes, Dynamat, *functional* polymer dampers and good speaker stands OTOH can be well worth the asking price.

This peasant just paid. Well 6 months 0% through Pay:Pal. Just thought using PayPal was appropriate for this blade given the name.
So, just hoping I'll receive it before my interest free period runs out...
I'm just a sucker for solid Ti. You guys really know ones weaknesses.

Having handled a prototype, I'm quite excited about this one. If the production build quality matches the prototype, this will meet (or exceed) the offerings from other companies at similar price points.

"A knife should not cost more than X" is an argument you can make, although it's your personal opinion. But the simple fact is that some do, and, although I'll check this opinion once I get a production on in hand, this one felt like it earned it.
