There is that. However, sometimes, around here, a slip joint is a good thing. I was wondering if anyone had handled one.

Do you have the back lock? If so, how do you like it? As you know, I love the Chaparral LW and Urban LW knives as all around pocket knives.

I don't think the slip joint has been released yet. I don't remember seeing it in their catalogue

Various articles have been written and videos made on how to convert a back lock into slip joint.
I believe the modification was done only to the lock bar engagement area and not on the blade proper.
This I assume was mainly for the UK laws.

Between my beloved Urbans and the LW Chapie I couldn't convince myself to get one. Yet ..... :D

P.S The answer to our quest Doc would be a baclock 3 inch mini Manix with linerless smooth G10 handle. THAT would be a killer edc IMHO. Maybe we should start a thread on this topic .....

I asked a couple times a while back if this was still in-the-works but never saw any confirmation.

Hope it's still happening, feels like there's a bit of a hole in the line-up when the only g10 slipit in production is the Byrd Tern. Not a bad knife, but not what I'm looking for, and unfortunately a reprise of the g10 UKPK also sounds unlikely iirc.

I didn’t know if I would like it either. But after having for a time it turned out to be my favorite Spyderco small folder. You have to have it and use it for a while. You might find it will grow on you .

Ha, in my first post in this thread I said a new g10 UKPK looked unlikely and news of the exclusive broke a little over a month later...

Maybe now I should say the slip joint Lil Native looks unlikely? :p

Well I’m glad his thread got bumped. It needs to stay alive so that Spyderco understand that we want this life. I got the backlock And its such a good knife I just really want to see a slip joint.
