To me the Military is the equivalent of the shark or the Colt 1911. They got it right the first time. Leave it be and make another model with different features! :)
I have never understood the "Gee i wish Spyderco would make model X more like model Y, only with some features from model Z"
Fair play to those who think different, but that's the way i see it.
I see it this way, too.
Me too. The current Military is pretty close to perfect. And I don't need another blade to break, so a Maxamet Military would be out for me - the Rex 45 copy that I have is as good as it gets when I need high HRC with reasonable toughness.

Wouldn't say no to a CQI CPM Cru-Wear or 3V Military though :) Or an LC200N Military with appropriate liners (I'm not optimistic on this one).

I realize this is borderline blasphemy here, but I'm going there. M2HS...I've loved this stuff for a long time and am lucky to have a few pieces with it. We're lucky to have Millies in all kinds of combinations that cover almost all bases. My experience with Maxamet has been frustration, consequently I'd rather have M2HS over it. Carbon fiber would be fine. I wish that someone would give this stuff another chance someday. Cheers!

i’ve pretty much what i wanted - a wicked edge retention and corrosion resistance in the s110v models and the first real HS steel in a pocket knife i know of - REX45

i think the only models i will/would buy are LC200N and K390 - but both are not very realistic, so i’m happy i can safe some money for now :)
