Lovely Calypso! Best day of the week, thursday :)
Here's another one you don't see every day,
Ti Salsa

I don't like you very much right now :P

I've been trying to find one of those forever.

That was always the "one" Salsa model I wish I would have kept for my small/short bladed models. It was the only Salsa unit with ATS-34 blade steel ( which I always kind of liked) and the workmanship on the Titanium handle was great. AT one time I had one of the Ti Salsa models along with a Cranberry colored AUS-8 unit and they made a really nice looking pair that I would sometimes have on my desk for "show & tell".

The Ti Salsa and the MOUSE models were two shorties I wish I had kept. And truly I've wondered why the MOUSE model didn't become one of their very hot sellers. That model along with some bigger models during that time slot were overshadowed by some of the really hot sellers during the late 90s/early 2000s. It was a time that so many great models were all at once trying to stake their claim so to speak. You could make the same case for the C-54 big Calypso model as well.

Carried a Vallotton, but decided to change it out for a little blast from the past with this set once I came home :)

Still high on my list!
Love the cobra hood on the ATR and that alone is enough reason to find a Salsa :)

Thank you to all for the memories of design perfection. Sal has taken us for quite a ride! Hey, does anyone have a pic of the Military knife with the inlay(Forum knife), missed out on that one!
Best regards, scout

Yeah, they're hard to come by... Especially the micarta ones.
When they're put up sale once in a blue moon, they tend be something else which is gone in 60 seconds :p
Worthy of being a grail for sure.
I had to pay a pretty penny to customs when picking up the package a few years back, but it was so worth it!

I've just got a soft spot for the old micarta models; and coincidentally, I was carrying another one today :)
This one doesn't get a lot of pocket time, but Thursdays give me an excuse to take out some of the less seen models.

I love the Junior's as well! :)
(Caly 3 and 3.5 get more pocket time, just wish it had the Calypso swedge...)
And the ATR is a no-brainer; sadly I don't have the Ti version myself :( One of my grails.

Fortunately picked this one up just a few weeks ago. Had to do some fine tuning on it, but with the already provided scratches, I had no apprehensions from throwing it into the pocket and immediately putting it to hard use. The action on the SS models is smoother if that's any consolation.

Forgot to add, I too love the swedge and wish the Caly 3 and 3.5 were ground with this extra feature. My Caly Jr's don't see as much pocket time as they should because of their G-10 cousins. Wouldn't it be nice to see a Caly Jr return in stainless much like the Kopa returned?
