Being into Spyderco for only the past year or so, this thread was a fantastic idea for those of us more on the green side of Spyderco knives. I see quite a few models I wish were still around! Thanks guys, great pics so far.

Endela as throwback? Must have added a Flux Capacitor to the shop, or palling around with Doc Brown in his DeLorean, instead of the ZDX.

Lots of splendid old Spydies posted above, thanks for the pics, folks.

This thursday it's time for the C53TI Herbst Ti, only Spyderco (to my knowledge) made in Solingen, Germany :)

That old Peter Herbst along with many of these super great collaborations has made me wonder how many of these old designers might still be with us. I would love to see a JD Smith II or even a Howard Viele II for instance. And let's not forget Ed Scott's great IMPALA model.

Bob Lum's passing really bummed me out because at the time of his passing I was near a deal to buy one of his custom models. Now I wish I would have pulled the trigger a lot sooner. I'm pretty sure that Michael Walker is still doing stuff for KLOTZLI the great Swiss knife company.

Some of these past collaborations are literally timeless.

That is so rare! So many ended up as seconds due to faulty locks

Along the lines of several recent threads, I'm carrying a little knife and a combo edge. Both discontinued and perfect for Throwback Thursday.

I am not sure if this ones been discontinued, but I have owned it for what seems like forever. Carried a bit, but not used a lot. I always liked the look of it.

Don't worry, it's discontinued alright :)
Wish they'd bring back that blade grind though..
