Has Spyderco ever used Canvas Micarta for scales?
Just curious why I haven't seen any from the factory.

I remember Sal posted once, that Micarta would not be a good idea for the Asian made knives, cause when shipped from a humid to a dry climate Micarta could shrink or something.
So I guess you'll only see it in Golden knives if at all.. there are rumors bout a Micarta Shaman. Would be great.

I have seen some really cool canvas Micarta great texture and color but I like the Spyderco brand so much I don’t really buy anything else would love to see some of the classic designs in Micarta, no doubt it sell :spyder:

I had a non-Spyderco with pretty rough canvas micarta. I like it a lot. Not really better than G-10 but an interesting change from it.
I’m going to pimp a Manix 2 soon (metal cage, canvas scales, and grinding off the handle jimping) so I’m planning on copying the original scales in micarta. Probably canvas micarta.
