watch the shot show video from knife center, Eric talks about it and the new release plan. Should be delivered this quarter. They didn't show the sheath yet anywhere that I have seen.

Might be in the 2nd quarter. In the Blade HQ Shot Show video, Eric said all the stuff he had on the table should be out "by May". So you might be waiting 4 more months.

Have there been any official photos of the sheath?

Nope. They didn't show the sheath in the SHOT interviews, but did for at least one other fixed blade. Maybe the sheath just isn't done yet. Odd since nobody is expecting a fancy sheath for this. A basic leather sheath will do.

Well it's almost May.... maybe when Eric said "it will be out by May" he meant including May?

Nope. I don't think anyone is expecting an amazing sheath at this price point, it will probably be something very basic. Which is completely fine.

I work in an industry where manufacturing new products and getting them to market on time is a big component. It's pretty hellish. The gap of having your manufacturer on the other side of the world introduces interesting complications too. It's not fun to deal with, but worth it in the end.

Midway is estimating in-stock mid-July. Wonder if that's just a wild guess on their part or if that's what Spyderco is telling retailers.
