What Spyderco are you?

#1

Post by Liquid Cobra »

Disclaimer: SpyderEdgeForever did not put me up to this. :D

I had this crazy/dumb idea today to ask members of the forum what Spyderco are you?

Many people carry a knife to fit their needs, while others carry a knife to fit their style. Some do both and carry a knife that fits their needs while doing it with style. But if you had to pick a knife based on the kind of person you are, what Spyderco would you be?

I think I’d be...the Shaman.

I’m a big guy (6’2”), kinda quiet, keep to myself, I work hard. But give me a few beers and I can party with the best of em. To me that describes the DLC Shaman. It’s a large tough knife, unassuming blade shape, but very capable due to the grind, steel and compression lock.

I know, it’s a dumb thread. But maybe you’re bored. Curious to see what you come up with.
Most recently acquired: Military 2, Paramilitary 2 Tanto x2, YoJUMBO, Swayback, Siren, DLC Yojimbo 2, Native Chief, Shaman S90V, Para 3 LW, Ikuchi, UKPK, Smock, SUBVERT, Amalgam, Para 3 CTS-XHP, Kapara, Paramilitary 2 M390
Grail Paramilitary 2 M390 X 2! ACHIEVED!!

I’m a big man and strong. I’d be a Manix 2 back lock.

I’m a little bloke. 5’-9” - 150lb. :)

I reckon I’m a Sprig but beloved wife sometimes says I’m a pest (I deny this) so I might be a Bug?

The answer is obviously techno due to my thick, short slabish body.

I like that thread! ;)

I am almost 6.2 (187 cm) and very lean I guess, weighing 166 pounds (75 kg).
From decades of constant climbing and mountaineering I am quite strong probably and have some muscles built up.
I am not at all a suit and tie kind of guy, but more of a casual and outdoorsy one. In my job I can wear Jeans and T Shirt all day long no problem, when I am off work I am a lot in the mountains or wear climbing pants anyway cause they are so comfortable.
I am not wealthy, drive a cheap beat up car, do not own any fancy stuff and like it that way.

So... I guess I'd be an Endura sabregrind... ;) Rather tall and slim, but still strong and hard to break, nothing fancy.
Maybe I'd have good worn in Micarta scales like my favorite Endura ffg has...

Hmmmm - good one!

5’11” and rugby player build, UK legal whilst European, I mind my own business and get on with the job, occasionally wear a good suit, under-appreciated (i.e. underpaid! - aren’t we all?) ..... so it has to be the Friction Folder.

Short and solid (heavy). I'm the Pingo titanium. :)

Picked it up from the EDC pick up box. It's a heavy user, so already full of scratches and dinges. Perfect match. :D
