Snagged a Satin - shows blade grinds better than the PVD/DLC version. Took a long time between clicks. Figured it would time out, but eventually each page loaded and got a completed order number.

I tried holding out, but with Spyderco not taking any new exclusive orders right now. It might be a long time before these comeback. I ended up picking up a PVD version.

BladeHQ exclusive PM2's with copper scales are liner-less, I think these are the only ones.

I’ve argued the pros and cons of a PM2 Tanto with myself since the idea was first voiced, and had pretty much persuaded myself to give it a pass.

But, I just surrendered to my curiosity. I have the black G10 satin coming. Thanks BHQ for offering an alternative to the coated blade and your signature jade.

Several things factored into my change of mind. I had ordered a VG10 Lum Tanto sprint just as blueboost was lamenting how Lum Tanto sprints ceased to preserve what made his original so exceptional. Then I remembered Sal saying the Lum Tanto is not actually a tanto, while Eric’s PM2 Tanto is, and nicely shaped, too. So, time to make some new discoveries.

Yeah, Eric made the best looking tanto blade I've ever seen. He went to an artschool iirc and it shows.

I really hope we'll be able to use a kind of custom shop for the most popular models (PM2, Delica etc...) where you can chose the steel, the color and the blade shape...

That's not what I see on the bladehq website. It seems the natural tanto don't have liners. Just look at the picture on their website.

My coated jade Pm2 tanto has uncoated liners.

On a positive note, I have some rgt canvas micarta scales and flytanium micarta scales in bound. Going to dress up my satin S30V tanto.

The liners are *not* blacked out. They look exactly like the first run.

I hope that Bade HQ does this again, not just one more time but until the demand is met. The knives look fantastic. But as is common in my case, I'd have to save for it....UGH!
