Depends on the knife.. Sprints or Exclusives warrant hanging on to the box.

I hadn't really given it much thought.

I only threw away the first one and now I wished I had it. Also one knife I got on the forum didn't have a box.

I keep my boxes, with the thinking that if I do ever resell it that I would have the original box that it came in for the buyer. However, my wife recently made fun of me for storing a bunch of empty boxes inside of another box.

I fill my Spyderco boxes with cement and am using them in building an extension to my house.

No, I save them like most sane people. Almost all Spydercos (I have a dozen Bugs so you get me) are treasures worth passing on and if you can include the box it a real plus. I never know when I'm going to gift a knife to a friend. Plus, I'm kinda thinking of actually selling some knives as we hope to move to a smaller house in a few years and I need to scale back on all my stuff I don't really need.

The saddest part is I thought my kids would want this stuff. :(

Will always be "cycling" thru my material things and like to have the original packaging on hand when I decide to let them go.

I didn’t keep boxes, but now I do, against the day I sell any knives.

I keep the boxes. I also keep all the cans from food I eat. I may thank myself someday.

Keep them.

I usually have the clips off and on a bit so like to keep the boxes to store the clips whilst not using them. ( easy to find once I want to put the clips back on )

Small downside is it does make how many I have a touch more noticeable to someone else in the house ;) ;)

Pretty sure the only Spydie box I've thrown away is the super-massive South Fork box. All of my folders are stored in their boxes when not out for rotation.

I used to not keep them, and I now have a CF plain edged Civilian without a box.

I've been keeping all my boxes for the past 10 years or so.

When I decide to keep a knife for good I cerimoniously burn the box.

There is no turning back after that. ;)

I keep them. No good reason. I guess I’m crazy too. I never sell mine, I was thrilled when I bought one second hand from New Graham knives recently and it came in the original box.
