Definitely an impressive collection you have there!
I seem to be caught up in the “different steel” fascination myself. I think it’s so neat to have a bunch of different steels in my knives! I only have 17 different steels, and I doubt I’ll ever be able to really test them all out extensively, but I’m fine with that. I just like having the different options every day!

Not bad at all!
How many of those get used actually (I know due to German knife laws you can't carry most of your knives legally, which is a shame. Better situation here in Austria)
And are you able to pick your current Top 3? ;)
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

Impressive discipline. I could never avoid buying doubles of steels. Or stop buying them :D

I know I'm not allowed to carry most of them. I do it anyway. I'm a rebel, like to live on the edge. :D

In fact I carry two spydies with me outside the house & office, one small non-locking legally permitted (Pingo or UKPK or Urban or only recently added Dog Tag or ClipiTool) and one larger spydie concealed, just in case, you know. At home, all of them (except for the fixed blades) are stored in nice wooden boxes right where I store my keychain, ready to be picked. Not a one is wasting away in a collector's cabinet or anything. Well, except for the 3 fixed blade spydies. They are just being played with at late hours. ;)

Plus I carry a SOG Switchplier.

Oh, dang, only since recently I have a Honeybee on my keychain. Guess that makes 3 spydies plus the SOG SP. Is that too much?

At work it's the Grasshopper on me while the Honeybee on the keychain is locked away.

Most carried: Pingo, Southard, PM2. But I love them all. :)

Difficult... At first glance of the Carribean I thought Wow, must have this one! But the more I looked at pictures, the more I doubted if this is really it for me.

Then I saw the Autonomy2 for the first time. An auto spydie, leaf shaped blade (I'm not a sheepfoot fan), not at all bad... Problem here is that it's not available on the bay, and I'm afraid ordering it from US knife store cause I don't know what customs will say when I pick it up. Irrational, I know. But still.

Now there's another candidate, with the hypothetical Dyad relaunch. Nothing's fixed there material-wise. But man how cool would it be to own one of this kind...

That looks like a really solid collection you have going there Michael.. very nice indeed!

I tried telling myself on Jan 1st that my new year's resolution is to "buy fewer knives".. here we are 18 days in and I've bought the V-Toku2 Stretch, DLT Manix, a Spydiechef, and have the Smock, Ikuchi, and Para 3 LW on pre-order (wow, putting that in writing, I think I might have a problem..). Best of luck to you with your "freeze," sir. I truly hope it goes better than mine!

I don't know if could do that. I have around 50 Spydie. However I need several of the same model in different versions and different steels. Then I have several models in my fav steels.

25/25 is cool though.

It is very nice but sadly lacks a Para 3, so is obviously quite incomplete. I cannot begin to match the models, but at least I have the cornerstone of any legit knife collection, the fabled majestic and overall super awesome Para 3. To know her is to love her.

The diff steels is what jumped out at me also when I went down the list. Starting to try other than stainless.

Para 3 is reserved for Maxamet. Unless some even more exotic steel is again introduced for it (3V, 4V) before Maxamet returns big.

If non of the above happens by the end of 2019, I might settle with 52100 CF, if that is still around by then.

I too don't care for sheepsfoots. The leaf shaped Caribbean is the best, get it!

I also had an Autonomy 2, but sold it. It was a great knife aswell, but it and the Caribbean were very close. The Caribbean is longer, lighter and can be opened just as fast(and closed faster)

The Caribbean won out by a wide margin.

I seriously cannot say enough good things about the Caribbean, i would trust it with my life.
