This would be a dream in LC200N! It would be perfect in a wharncliffe blade, lc200n and the green frn like the new salt knives.

I’m pretty content with my H1 SE DF2 - it’s my saltwater fishing knife. I’d pass on LC200N.

I’m a bit of a minimalist though.

I don't own a Dragonfly yet, but it's on my radar. I'm waiting for a restock of the K390 PE versions (honestly, just for the novelty of having something in that steel), and hoping for LC200N SE + Green FRN. I'd buy two of the latter in a heartbeat - one for me, and one for a friend who probably doesn't know yet that she needs some LC200N in her life.

A Dragonfly in LC200N will make a perfect complement to my Dragonfly in K390. I'm in!

Hi guys

a Dragonfly with LC200N steel and the typical light blue color of a dragonfly would be awesome. Light blue ZOME.

What do you think?

Hi Sailhand,

It has it' challenges but we're working on it.

Funny that the design is 25 years old.

sal
So I’m curious on this one what the challenges are. There’s no liners to worry about. Is it hard to make lc200n in a small blade?

apparently not. the rocks glass has an lc200n lil native and the shot glass has an lc200n ladybug. i don't drink, but i'll probably get the shot glass anyway because... well, it's a ladybug.

i still would love an lc200n df2 though, especially if we could get it in all black.

I’ll chime in even tho it’s a loooong ongoing thread…the dfly 2 salt se was my first spyderco and the reason I really got into knives…I gifted it to a family member when she fell in love w/it (I’d only had it a month) but she was truly enamored…I was too but she constantly asked to look at it so I put it back in it’s box and wrapped it up for her Christmas gift. I was visiting her and my cousin in Dallas,Tex helping out w/some projects around their house…I then went to House of Blades to get another one and also picked up a Pacific salt H1 se for my cousin’s gift…needless to say they were happy campers!!! The dfly salt is definitely my most carried knife no matter what I pair it with on any given day…I recently got the salt 2 wharnie lc200n se this past week and it has blown me away(never had a wharnie)…Next purchase is the Pacific salt lc and if Sal makes this a reality it would make for an amazing matching trio…it would definitely be a popular choice for all us Spyderco nuts…🙏👊

I've posted about this before. I'd like a dragonfly salt, but H1 doesn't seem particularly appealing. LC200N seems pretty good.

Sal has said before there’s challenges in this combo. Not sure what they are but as far back as 2019 I’ve heard they’re looking at it.

If we're talking about swapping one imported steel for another, why not Magnacut?

Seki already has lc200n.

Also isn’t lc200n far easier to sharpen?
