I got this amazing new Spyderco today from a guy in Hawaii. It is a Jot Singh Khalsa PE which is NIB with all the papers. Spyderco must have run out of boxes on the day it was shipped because a Jot Khalso sticker was applied over an Endura label. A really beefy knife built like a tank. Several things are different from currently produced Spydercos.
First, the knife has a 1/2 open back and a 1/2 back liner of Micarta which matches the scales. Secondly, this knife has the thickest pivot washers that I have ever seen. They provide 1/32 of an inch from the blade to the scales on both sides. The polished clip has the Spyderco logo and all the patent info. Can't do it justice with an image. Does anyone else who owns one have any comments?

I recall the Khalsa from earlier Spyderco

It's a peculiar looking knife. What I dislike most are those two finger choils one next to another. This surely won't improve ergonomics. Congratulations for your new acquisition anyway.

The JSK is the smoothest opening Spydie I have. Very good comfortable fit for a small hand and massive blade for its size. I like the double choil -to each his own!
Hump allows kinetic opening and its odd shape has "psychological" impact for sch a small knife.
I've admired it and played with it but never used it. Largely because I didn't know how strong micarta was and was afraid I'd break it. Now I want to keep it mint for the collection.
My PE blade is unmarked but I believe it to be Gin 1 aka G2.
