I would have to pull the trigger on one of these as well. Especially if it was in black as opposed to the bright yellow. I'm loving my native salt but had to do a scale swap with my s30v because the yellow is just too loud for edc for me. I wish they would make all the salts in black frn/trcp. It couildn't cost hardly anymore since they already make those handles for the non salt versions.
Flat Dark Earth, Earth Brown, Dark Olive Drab, those colors would get my vote.
an olive drab handle on a stonewashed manix 2 salt would be the perfect knife.

there's a thread i started with a quote from sal. the magnacut manix 2 lw salt exists, according to eric in one of the show videos. it'll be yellow frcp. i've been impatiently awaiting it since confirmation of its existence.

It’s the only a Manix2 lightweight I have interest in and would buy it as soon as it dropped. MG2

Ditto. Mx2 Lightweight. It would become my dayhiking blade.

You nailed it! I love Salt knives , and of course blending the Manix Lwt. imto the lineup is a fantastic idea. I can see a lot of individuals jump in to buy across the board . It has so much potential. I try to stay away from “ I Want Threads “ but the teaser revealing a prototype really piqued my interest . Dan

I just hope it's in a neutral color. Probably be yucky green or yellow though :(
I don't envy Sal & Co trying to satisfy all the knife nuts personal tastes, lol

eric said yellow and he was also talking about the magnacut native salt at the time. my guess is it will be a close match to the yellow native salt in frcp. it wouldn't be my first choice, but remember there are screws now, so even if you can't dye it, you can switch them out for other colors, and we'll likely start seeing aftermarket scales for the lw also.

I agree LB if screw construction grows after market scales will follow big time . Dan

Hi ladybug93,
I just got a manix lw today because of your opinion on the model. Holy cow!!! It’s now my favorite spyderco...make that my favorite knife period. I don’t have as many as most of y’all but I have a few...just started into the “real” knife world about a year ago w/a dfly salt. I have the siren/Caribbean/spydiechef/salt 2’s/native 5’s/para 3 and now the manix lw...hands down this is my number 1...can’t wait for the magnacut model...ergos are spot on perfect for me and it w/magnacut it would be my go-to for hunting, fishing, hiking...whatever. Thanks again for the heads up on this knife 👊✌️
