The SpydieWiki up now does not seem to have any of the updates of the past six plus months.
Yeah, it looks like the database they ported over was from around June or so, as I was behind on creating pages for new models, but had at least kept up with sprint runs, new variant release info, and had been in the process of fixing broken links (primarily updating from the old forum links to their current forumII pages). The whole second half of the year of work seems to be gone now. That's kind of a bummer. :(
Perhaps they can restore the SpydieWiki database to the last version from a couple of weeks ago instead.

Kristi, I guess it's better to wait for your "GO" before we start with further processing of data. Otherwise I fear new inputs could be useless.

Thanks. Your list has been my go-to on many occasions when looking for release dates.

Due to how the transition of the database took place (I think the process was started June of last year, which explains why Spyderco has a database from that point in time), we unfortunately didn't maintain an offline archive after that time on our end. So unless Spyderco has a more recent version saved somewhere, the work from the last six months or so will have to be redone.

Your list will make a good chunk of that work easier. I know I made some Q model updates as well as various updates to other older models as I stumbled upon interesting bits of information, but I don't recall specifically what those all were, so that info might just be gone unless somebody happens to stumble upon the information elsewhere and then update the wiki again.

Hey, everyone:
We'll look into the apparent missing data. For now, we've pulled back access to edit/add information to a few of us here until we make a plan of how to move forward. We truly do appreciate everyone's efforts that have made Spydiewiki.com an unmatched resource of information for all things Spyderco. Our hope is to build upon that and continue to provide that resource as well as honor those who made it happen. We'll be having more conversations here about our plans in the coming weeks after SHOT Show and I'll communicate more to you all as I can.

Thanks much!

Kristi

Received a message from cjanson of Spyderco and unfortunately when I go to reply to him/her it says "Some users couldn’t be added as they have disabled private message receipt."

So, I've included his/her message below:

"RamZar,

You don't know me but I am Kristi's shadow on the Spyderco servers.

I wonder if you could do me a favor with regard to SpydieWiki.com. Could you take a look and see if most of the data is back? The January updates and possibly some of the later December updates might not be there, but you know better than I what should be there and I'd like to verify that I was able to recover a good part of what was missing since June.

No rush. Whenever you get a chance let me know.

Thanks for your time."

My response:

You can check the ones added/updated from June 2018 to January 2019 by looking up one from each month from the list below:

Looks like a recent version of the database, as the gray Shabaria sprint and Techno 2 have release dates listed (I change the date from "Not yet released" to the month/year only when they actually start shipping). Those were some of the last things I specifically recall updating last year.

It looks like the edit history ported over as well. If you looked at "View history" before, none of the pages had edit histories. Now the history is showing up again.

There was the “list of all Spyderco knives” with photos. Did that list get moved across to the new site? http://www.spydiewiki.com/models/
Can’t seem to find it anymore.

Hello everyone in this thread.
It's time to enter data on new models.

And we have information on old models that needs to be corrected. How can we make additions and changes ?
I use translator most of the time.

There was a link to the old Spyderco catalogs.

I know the SpydieWiki database was to be hosted by Spyderco. Did that happen?

SpydieWiki was a great resource for Spyderco knives when it was being updated in a timely manner. Pity...

AFAIK Spyderco does host Spydiewiki. If you check the bottom of the main page there's a contact link if you'd like to add info without joining. The link takes you to the contact page on Spyderco's website

I did so, as you said. I followed the link at the bottom of the first page. I got to the contact page of the Spyderco.com website.
I wrote that I want to contribute to spydiewiki.com. And I asked a question with whom I can contact and by what e-mail.
Hope to get an answer.

Hi, RamZar:
When we took over Spydiewiki.com we also took over the maintenance and continued evolving of the content. We've enlisted some help to do that. I'll check on our progress and we'll have some more discussions here. Don't give up hope. ;)

Member jabba359 (Kyle) used to maintain SpydieWiki. What happened to him?

I know the SpydieWiki database was to be hosted by Spyderco. Did that happen?

SpydieWiki was a great resource for Spyderco knives when it was being updated in a timely manner. Pity...
Hi, RamZar:
When we took over Spydiewiki.com we also took over the maintenance and continued evolving of the content. We've enlisted some help to do that. I'll check on our progress and we'll have some more discussions here. Don't give up hope. ;)

Kristi

It would be great if the updates are done in a timely manner. Thanks.
