Same here. I treat it like S30V or VG-10. If I really really like the knife design and that's the only steel choice, I'll buy it, but I'm buying it for the design not the steel.

If it was 20CV or 204P and $20 cheaper I think it would be hot, especially in that forest green

Has there been any word of DLT releasing another run of the red G-10 20CV Manix 2? I thought I remembered mention of it soon after the original release, but it doesn't seem likely with all the new releases coming out these days.

I remember reading DLT saying that too, last year. And, it does take about a year from when an order is placed, to get a slot in on the production line, and it's been 10 months now. Remember, those Red 20CV Manix knives showed up at DLT's door, nearly right on Christmas Day. So they postponed that release, until January of this year. A quick search of my email system, shows me that I bought that knife on Jan. 15th, and it shipped out the same day. So is what I'm getting at, in a round-about way. :D
Is that more of those 'could' come to light, anytime in the next month or three. Providing that they did order another run, soon after the last run was sold.

This is encouraging. I made the wrong decision when it was released and I'd like to have another shot at it. I don't have an M2 in that steel family, and would like to give one a try. I hope it comes out before the brown M390, which I could resist better if I get the 20CV first :D

Interesting. Satin Para 3 says the same thing. Native 5 DLC says small batch due by end of 2019. Price is $140. I thought I bought my CS Native 5 for $90-100 last year. :eek:

If you prefer Satin they are saying the same thing about the satin model as well.

These are just new batches (not new models) of the Cutlery Shoppe Exclusive Para3 which were first delivered in November 2018:

I have watched Cutlery Shoppee exclusives in this steel for years now. Conclusion = way over priced on the secondary market! A fool and his money are soon parted.

Better off buying S30V and some sharpening equipment and educating ones self here.

Hint... buy a sharpmaker, buy Wedegeks, buy Atoma plates, sharpen and sleep well at night.

i miss it last year and really hoping they do it again. i do need to know if they actually put in the second order because i was about to buy one on the bay.

Red scales with satin blades is Dlttrading's exclusive color combo with Spyderco. Orange is reserved for Cutlery Shoppe generally. What are you referring to about titanium for $130?

The new Manix 2 Brown M390 knife is also now available, at some of your favorite Dealers as well. So far, just the satin version has popped up. A DLC version 'should' soon follow. Of course some Dealers are sold out of this one too, at the moment.



The Spyderco Newsletter also says that the Insistent (C246GP) is, or will be, available as well. I have not spotted that one for sale though yet.

That's the rumor that it maybe here before Christmas since it's been a year since they ordered the first run but it's all speculation with no confirmation from DLT. This is what I'm hoping for though. I have the M390 pm2, I'm good on M390... Bring on the 20CV. Cheaper and USA made
