I figure the odds are approaching zero that 2019 will actually see four reveals. I'm sure it seemed like a can't-miss way to impose some order on the production pipeline when they came up with it. But if your production process is too difficult to predict with certainty, you can't just create that certainty by reporting on the uncertainty more often.
Aww have a little faith, one thing I have noticed during dry spells Spyderco has been working up major bursts of interesting releases.

Now mind you as far as I am concerned the Z Cut knives are a completely different category and while there are many different types I myself speaking only for me consider them as one for various reasons so I do not see them impeding the last reveal.

This year we have seen some pretty good surprise releases from DLT and others and they have tended to be close on each others heals, too close making them hard to afford for some, to few making them unobtainable by others.

Strange year. Still Think they will pull in the final reveal but may be delayed in production of said revealed items into 2020 despite best intentions. Then again who knows 2019 has been the year of the burst mode.
I have absolutely no doubt Spyderco will continue to come up with a metric ton of cool knives. But history would indicate that the releases tend to be a little sporadic. Spyderco got tired of that sporadic nature, and came up with the reveal system. And now the reveals are sporadic.

I wholeheartedly agree. I've also quickly found out, that my personality does not blend very well with this new Reveal system either.
It just so happens, that the knife that caught my attention the most, and that I was quickly excited for, in Reveal #2. Is still not out yet. As I continually stand on my tippy-toes, waiting and watching for it. It ages me, after so much time has gone by. :(

I'm pretty sure now, that I'm going to quit looking at the Reveal's, and just wait until the mention of something interesting, hits my inbox.

Don't know what y'all are complaining about. I'd be happy if we went back to the old way where we'd find out about models that were a year away from production or more. Gave you something to look forward to. Some of us enjoy anticipation. Instant gratification mentality has ruined a lot more in the world than knife reveals. Good things come to those who wait.

Oh I see now I misread the post by stevemidwest, he didn’t mean that reveal no. 2 isn’t out, he meant the knife he wanted in that one isn’t out. My bad.

Wow. The Shaman is more knife than I usually like to carry, but that is awfully tempting.

i still have yet to see the one knife i was waiting on the last reveal the sage 5 LW. they have released another reveal without releasing all the knives from the last one. are we not going to see the sage 5 LW. are there issues with it. no one will tell us just that it is being made.

wow this new 3rd reveal has nothing even close to interesting to me. shamans and tens are way to big. the siren is a backlock, the puppy knives are cool but wouldn't buy one.
