Not sure. I use White Lightning. I got it from a local bike shop. No grease - wax based. Works great.
- best wishes, Jazz.

Lately I’ve been using fishing reel oil on most my knives, some red stuff called “Quantum Hot Sauce” that I picked up at Cabelas but I imagine CdnTire should have something similar. For any that I want something thicker on I use either my grease from my Sebenzas or a heavy grease I got from work years ago that we used on the forklifts.

I had been using Lubricating Oil from Liquid Wrench, but i've been using Rem Oil on my knives since I got my Ultratech in October.

Will any of these or other products allow me to treat a carbon steel blade like a stainless steel blade?

I treat all my knives the same, use, clean, dry. For my carbon steels I let a patina form. If I get one in the summer and am likely going to have it in pocket on a sweaty day, I’ll rush the patina a little by not wiping off right after cutting some fruit.
