Is the reason why uninvited guests are not allowed in is because of capacity issues of the meeting place, or other reasons? Just wondering.

I would guess it is due to the seating capacity of the conference room, preparation from Spyderco (goodie bags and whatnots) and catering, all combined makes setting a hard limit the only viable option.
My guesses, don't quote me on that :)

Yes it's a capacity issue.

Would have been great to join the meeting ounce again

March 8th, 2004 :) - most of the crew is not in the picture (I remember at least Joyce, Kelly and Jurphaas of course). In the picture are Sal, Gail and Olive. Can't remember if Eric was also there the 1st time.

I am so sorry Sal is not coming anymore ...I wish I had the chance to meet him in person ...

Agreed. I keep posting subtle hints. Hope springs eternal :)
It's not that i don't get it though. Being Sal's age and having the same flight mileage under my belt, Amsterdam would probably not be at the top of my 'to do' list either.
Still, Ozzy Osborne and Keith Richards make appearances every now and then so i haven't written Sal off quite yet :D

I am in that picture too! That was fun!

Right, in about 3 hours I will be at hotel Mercur, any early birds up for a beverage and telling each other lies and gossip? :)

sal and others, is this what happens or not likely? I have this image in my mind of the Spyderco Amsterdam meet where you and others are sitting around a table and for lunch or a snack in comes a big platter of good quality cold cuts and vegetables and crackers and breads...and everyone whips out their favorite Spyderco knife instead of a knife and a fork. :) Like out of a Medieval feast but with Spyderco blades instead of old-style daggers. :)

I am very curious also SEF. Tomorrow will be my first time at the Amsterdam meet. Don't know what to expect.

It was great!!! Saw some really nice knives. Cool stuff os coming up!! The goodie bag was also very nice. There was a Mantra 2 in it!!
