Re: The hard choice of Christmascarry
i was just gifted a native salt by a good friend and fellow spydie nut. it will be opening all boxes this year. :)
i mentioned this before in the off topic forum, but if you guys haven’t tried trauma shears for opening blister packaging, you really should. i’ll be using my leatherman raptor for those jobs. it seriously devours any packaging that might try to send your knife into an artery.
merry Christmas, everyone. safe cutting!

Going to be my Titanium UKPK as I'm a UK wallah- and I like winding up my father in law when he produces his G10 UKPK :D
Warhammer 40000 is- basically- Lord Of The Rings on a cocktail of every drug known to man and genuine lunar dust, stuck in a blender with Alien, Mechwarrior, Dune, Starship Troopers, Fahrenheit 451 and Star Wars, bathed in blood, turned up to eleventy billion, set on fire, and catapulted off into space screaming "WAAAGH!" and waving a chainsaw sword- without the happy ending.

Re: The hard choice of Christmascarry
Travelling in a few hours to LA and Oregon, so my knives will be in the rear of the jet-lag inducing machine.
Taking a UKPK, a SAK, and a few of my own, and instagramming my way across the plains, valleys and mountains.
Was hoping to get to Golden, but my son's wedding plans in LA take precadence. :)

Re: The hard choice of Christmascarry
I had my plane Jane delica for Xmas eve and to cut the pavlova out of its box it was a godsend-
Not of a sad state of affairs when my pocket knife is the sharpest knife in the house.
Today being Xmas day it will be the sage.

Re: The hard choice of Christmascarry
Wishing Y'all A Very Merry Christmas!!! :)
I'm EDCing my Spyderco CPM S110V Military along with my Spyderco Delica 4 Black FRN in PE and SE. When we go out, I'll swap these out for my Spyderco Caly 3 Black G-10 in PE and SE to keep things discreet, and I'll also EDC my Spyderco Assist Orange FRN.

Manix 2 Cruwear light gray G10.
I'm not sure about tomorrow but the Manix 2 might be the most practical.
Oh and to the OP- I recommend scissors or shears for the clamshell packages.

Re: The hard choice of Christmascarry
Remember reading somewhere a few years back, 19 people a year die opening clamshell / blister packages

I’m all over my Blade HQ Jade Para 2 with DLC blade but my Rex 45 Para 2 is laser sharp. Might be a game time decision since I don’t Have a Red DLT Para 2... yet. Merry Christmas fellow addicts!
Too many Military family variants... and yet not enough.

Plenty of toys held to backing cardboard with cable ties so it’s a SE HB Dragonfly sort of day here. :)

Re: The hard choice of Christmascarry
Just to be different I think I'll pull out the C-46 Lum Tanto folder for a Christmas EDC. No particular reason other than to just do something different for the holiday.
Also I might just put the Yellow handled, H-1, SE Spyderhawk in my side pocket as a back-up blade. I'm thinking that I might have to open some packages tomorrow because I told a couple of ladies I would help them on THEE DAY>> and a Hawkbill with teeth makes that job a breeze. It sure would be nice to hear an announcement about a new Sprint Run of the C-60 Ayoob model>> in a newer/better blade steel. That would fulfill my Christmas Wishes.
