Extending the Para Family
Extending the Para Family
So, as I was playing with my copy machine's enlarge/reduce function, the thought occurred to me....see the pics.
I'm thinking "ParaFly" is a pretty cool name, but not sure the size is workable.
However, I'm positive "Para Mini" could work well for a lot of folks. I'd definitely buy at least one. Heck I'd likely get one for each of my daughters.

Re: Extending the Para Family
When a knife gets smaller i like it to be more slicey. Think of the chaparral. I imagine a shrunken para 3 should feel about the same as a little native except with a better thumb ramp. Not really the thing i would be interested in. However, if the blade would be substantially thinner and the handle also (keeping the compression lock) i think i might wanna buy one.
Anyway, nice thought.

Re: Extending the Para Family
Not so much... if I want a very small comp lock knife there's the Lil' Native.
I feel like the Milie/Para concept is a *work* knife, if a Lil' Para tilts that balance farther toward the gentleman's knife genre, I think it'll be too far off pattern to really satisfy many of us Para Junkies.

Re: Extending the Para Family
For me, the Lil Native is the Para Mini.
Dragonfly's advantag is the lightness and small width.
With a compression lock that will change.

Re: Extending the Para Family
Kind of weird and likely wouldn't be popular enough to pursue, but I'd be curious in hybrids, so a pm2 handle with para 3 blade or millie with pm2 etc.
"Seven for One"
Re: Extending the Para Family
My first big desire is for a larger scale Dodo model but I'm liking this idea of a larger scale Para2 especially. I would want something with a blade at least that big.
The Para 2 is another model I've wondered if a Titanium handle would be a good model to try?
Re: Extending the Para Family
I really like titanium, it's surprising how lightweight it is. It gives a feeling of quality and strength to the user. But sometimes I like how g10 keeps the knife more firmly in the pocket.JD Spydo wrote: ↑Sat Dec 22, 2018 7:29 amMy first big desire is for a larger scale Dodo model but I'm liking this idea of a larger scale Para2 especially. The two bladed Para 3x2 would be my choice.
Can you find it and can it cut?
