Very nice! I think I'm pretty well set on knives with red G10 though. As Roger said, a red LW would've been a must buy for me.

I'm sure you guys probably know, but figured I'd throw it out there. At KnivesPlus, they sell modified knives and I know they have a couple models that they have the LW models with handle scales that are dyed Red. The plain jane steel that comes with the standard model, but you could always swap around if you really wanted that LW in Red. Just a little food for thought!

Blade swap on a manix lw is not an easy task. I did it once, and will never do it again.

Yes, it is.

Super psyched for this one. I really like m390/20cv/204p and I've always wanted to a Manix in this steel.

Jordan at DLT was kind enough to give me some info:

The Manix 2 should be available on Jan 15th for $129.95.

This Manix and the tan PM2 have 20CV instead of M390 blades because Spyderco has instituted a policy of using domestic steels in their Golden-made exclusives. Reruns of previous models can likely utilize the same steel even if foreign (ex. red PM2 in M390), but new ones will likely be domestic steels.

Well a little more time to save up. $129.95 is a great price. DLT does a fantastic job, fast shipping, IN A BOX so the Spyderco box does not get crushed!

<rant>I wish everybody who makes a limited knife would share the size of the run (yeah, I'm even looking at you directly, Spyderco). It seems like lately all we're told is that they're "limited". Even on sprint runs. I get that for distributor and dealer runs, that should be left up to the dealer/distributor to share or not, but Spyderco used to at least tell us the size of sprint runs. Now they just make us guess.</rant>

Didn’t know this. Makes sense given the new uncertainties.

Besides, the “high-end” American steels we have more commonly yet to see ought to get their chance.

Distributors/dealers would stand to enhance their reputations and followings with “the right choice”.

Don't mean to argue, but I bought a BB M390 PM3 just a few months ago. Don't think that was a re-run.
