Sal, are there any plans for another K390 knife?

Sal,

I have been very impressed with K390 in my Police 4. I understand why you chose this steel for that model now. It shows extremely impressive edge holding while being a breeze to sharpen.

Do you have any plans to use this steel in any other knives?

I think it would be an excellent steel for a fixed blade. I could also see a DLC K390 folder being a go to for the summer, when corrosion resistance is a greater priority for me than it is this time of the year.

I’d like some in a Delica wharncliffe. Is that possible?

I can't wait to try this steel. It has such a healthy balance of properties in regard to high-end performance.

I love K390. I'm not sure I need it in something I already have in Maxamet, but I'd love to see a small fixed blade (Sprig? Enuff?) in K390.

Hi Vivi,

Nothing yet. As mentioned, I thought about a smaller Pattada, but the steel is more for Afi's, so we really would need an afi model.

As I've read there's been some work on a 3inch slippie version fo the Kapara.... I think that would be a splendid design to sport some k390...

ParaXL in K390 with DLC might just sell out faster than a military with the same treatment.

Much love here for compression lock & tip up!

I think K390 in a wharncliffe would be a winning combo. Ultimate cardboard and utility knife.

Perhaps putting k390 in the Q-Ball would increase sales?

I also feel like the Double Bevel would be a cool knife in k390.

Any idea of how k390 would do with serrations? I'm sure it wouldn't be very easy to grind but it is pretty tough steel so it might do well.
