If you could only keep one.

If you could only keep one Spyderco out of all the models you have, or maybe it’s a model you don’t have yet, only one knife to do everything you asked it to do!

Which model is it? And what steel is the blade in? And what knives are you leaving behind?

You must leave the rest, and only pick one!

Easy: the Salt 2. Other manufacturers can make nice knives but H1 serrated comes only from Spyderco. Besides, it's still November so I have to keep it in my pocket for the No Sharpening November thing.

Keep Pacific Salt H1 Serrated (which yet to get)
but at a pinch can do it all.

Leaving behind my beloved Endura 1 AUS-8 Serrated because the PC Salt will do everything the Endura has done plus more.

Also leaving behind Crickets, Enduras, Catchermans.

While my favorite Spyderco is the Police 4, I'd choose the Pacific Salt. I could go with PE or SE, both have their pros and cons.

I'd choose the P4 for most the year, but during the summer the rust proof nature of the Pacific Salt is a big deal for me. I wear running shorts and clip folders IWB, and I've rusted regular stainless steels quite a bit.

So, Pacific Salt if I can only have one.

Pacific Salt + Police 4 (in SE and PE, respectively) if I can have two.

If allowed three, I'd add a Swick or Aqua Salt.

As much as I am presently enjoying the Police 4 and Military, it would probably be one of my PM2.

i suppose i’d choose the native salt. my favorites are the manix 2 and the pacific salt. the native salt has the corrosion resistance i want, the shape and ergonomics similar to the manix that i love, and in a slightly smaller package that is legal in more places, to include my office.

It’s hard to turn away the Pacific Salt but if I don’t need a zero maintenance blade, I’d pick my cruwear Manix with smooth cf. I could also easily be happy with a cruwear PM2 or my M4 PM2 in cf.

Manix 2 back lock.

Military would be my second choice.

I’d pick my Spyderco Military Blurple.

I like my PM2, but the blade may be a little short.
