So, now that this is out, what is next? The Ikuchi or Paysan? They have to be close behind I hope.

And DLT, what’s up with your shipping? I mean I ordered the the Smock yesterday and my mailman just came and no knife. That is unacceptable! ; )

Waiting for mine from DLT, but was curious and see that KnivesPlus has in stock. (I’ve never ordered from them).

DLT is incredible. When I ordered the Manix 2 exclusive just last month, I had it in my hands 2 days later. Ordered the Smock from them on Sunday and received a shipping notice later that day. Expecting mine tomorrow!

Agreed, starting to think they have a kiosk at their local post office. To ship they just walk across the lobby.

First time ordering from DLT. Got my shipping notice right away but it still hasn’t actually started moving yet, at least according to usps tracking. My only concern will be Customs. They responded to an email enquiry I had right away too, and have good shipping costs to Canada, so far I’m impressed with them.
KnivesPlus still has Smocks in stock somehow.
Been watching the reviews as they pop up. I really don’t get the fascination with wire clips? They dig in and they move around in use. I’m soooo happy they went with the standard clip! I’ll of course have to wait till I get mine to see if I’ll want an aftermarket deep carry or not. From the in hand pics and vids, I suspect the stock clip will be perfect to keep my hand, (lefty) in the right position avoiding the button. Personally I could do without lanyard holes or think they should take a backseat to clip placement but again I suspect in this case it’s going to work out for me anyway...

Looking at the clip that’s on it I’m pretty sure a Lynch clip will fit. I have a few extra ones so I’ll let you all know. :)

Same here, debating a Lynch and MXG I have sitting around, granted the Lynch is a Para 3 specific DLC coated. Not sure how that would look.

Just took it out of the box an hour ago! Still cleaning the heavy layer of oil off the blade and weeping from the bearing pivot. The edge is very well done...cutting /whittling free hanging hair!

The black deep carry clip looks great IMHO!

So apparently the smock has a second detent ball that rides on a spring to help keep the blade in the closed position while the button is pressed. Very cool.

Initial reactions to this knife are very positive. Well done Spyderco!

Looks good James! I'm not sure if I want to go with my glossy black clip or a flat black. First world problems here!

If you remove the little spring and the ball bearing from the second detent, it will become free droping?

Still no word from BHQ, I should have cancelled with them and got it at Kplus the other day. If the Ikuchi comes out before I get a Smock I might just cancel the Smock anyway
