The Sharpest Youtube Channel in the World

#1

Post by Larrin »

In this article I wrote about the very popular videos by "Kiwami Japan" where he makes knives out of odd materials like jello, rice, plastic bottles, or underwear. I described the general format of the videos, what makes certain materials better than others for knives, and I made approximately a bazillion GIFs of Kiwami Japan videos so you understand what I'm talking about.

I'll most definitely check it out. Every time I hear anything that the Japanese are doing with blades it gets my interest really fast. Somewhere in my storage unit I have a DVD video of a Japanese chef showing their method of sharpening those high end Japanese Chef's Knives and it's most interesting to say the least. I haven't watched that video in quite some time but before the end of the week is up I'm going to get it and watch it again. It was a much different approach to sharpening than I had ever seen before.

And I'll check out this Youtube channel you are referring to before the week is out as well. Thanks again for sharing all of this most interesting and timely information with us Larrin :)

I'd seen the pasta knife video before but didn't realize he had a series of them. I am now addicted to this guy's channel.

I've seen a few of his videos. It's crazy how he takes these materials and turns them into functional knives. Some of those processes take some time though.
