Hi Jason, Ugaarguy,

We've got a new Sage FRN in-the-works. Might be an interesting test?

Sal would be pretty desperate to ask me to design a knife or anything else.
And i think spyderco got blades for most if not all you could dream of using a knife for.
But one can dream. :)
Today i had some time to myself when the Kids where out with friends.
I raided their backpacks for a pencil and some paper and starte to scribble down my masterpiece.
I haven't drawn anything in at least 20 years and even back then i was rubbish at best.
I also write like a Child, but that is my cross to bear. ;)
I thought Long and hard about what i wanted in a knife that i didnt allready have (I have a few) and slowly the knife took shape.
Woila i was finished(i'm actually norwegian).
The drawing where so messy i had to trace it On a thinner paper.
For all I know This knife could allready exist, and if it does pls tell me, i want it.:)
Without further ado i present you with
Spyderco Mom3ntum®
the magnificent fastslicing pocket steak knife.

What a fun idea.

How's about a Shute Spyder; frame (or liner) lock in 4mm thick hollow ground s35vn and dark earth G10 ?

"steel - something nice" made me laugh.

I think that's the first time I've seen the idea for a removable flipper. That's a clean looking design overall, nice job!

Seax knife, take a Military or Manix XL sized knife and make a Viking worthy folder. I'm not artsy but I'm sure someone could design something cool around that.

I have already begged for a larger version of the Worker.

So. Here's an idea instead. A blade shape similar to the Bradley Folder, same material M4, but full flat ground. Or VG-10, whatever. Compression Lock of course. (The Bradley has not so good a lock release to be honest). Handle shaped more like the PM2 but made out of the carbon fiber G10 laminate that is on the bradley. That Taiwan carbon fiber on the Bradley is really nice looking. Blade has to be at least 3.5 inches, any knife smaller than that is just jewelry.

I'm not a collector although I have 29 so far.

I could care less if it looks tactical, hopefully that fad is dead.

2.5-3 inch fixed. General purpose utility blade. Sabre ground primary with flat/sharpened spine like a wharnnie for pull cuts. Short three finger grip reminiscent of Street Beat. Steel chosen for toughness and ease of retouching on sharpmaker. Possible notch/protruding facet on butt of handle for light prying/screw tightening/bottle opening.

I’d wear that everyday at my 4 o’clock.

Sal, I like the idea. I know it would deviate from the rest of the line with a change in grind (and maybe steel), but at least it would be in a series that's about variation. Thanks for making all these variations in lock type, blade steel, handle material, and now perhaps now grind type, available to us in standard production knives.

Serrated Catcherman in H1, Silver or Black blade, Yellow Handle.
And possibly a Plain Edge version as well.
OK NITRO I'll put up with a full plain edged CATCHERMAN. But your first idea of a full Spyderedged CATCHERMAN is way overdue!! And I also love the yellow handle just like the one they had all the way back to the old AUS-8 units of the 90s. Why they ever eliminated the original, full Spyderedged Catcherman is something I just can't comprehend.

OK here would be my ideal design. But I would have to get permission from Mr. Massad Ayoob in order to do it though :D I would take the original C-60 Massad Ayoob model and give it a Carbon Fiber handle. And I would want it available in full Spyderedge and plain edged both. The Spyderedged version would have XHP blade steel and the plain edge would have M390. Other than those modifications you can keep it just like Massad Ayoob designed it to begin with. Now give us a date we can expect it :D

This is good news. If I may ask, what is the blade length? Over three inches?

Some people (probably a lot / most) wouldn't buy a Spydie edge. Only the "educated/initiated would buy SE.

Also 99% of fillet knives are plain edge, don't confuse the market!

Handle, yellow or green but just think yellow fur silver and green if black blade ?

Steel ? H1 is the obvious one. I think someone else mentioned LC2???

I've now got an SE Black handled version. Want an H1 Green but prices are way too high.

A Police 4, with a pinkyhook and a little more of a frontward guard, and a wide broad leaf shaped blade with a ton of belly. K390, m4 or something.

I know Sal loves the ethnic series as much as I do.

The Khyber. Rookie size Spydie hole, Junior style pivot, comp lock, 3.6" blade.. O5" max thickness blade to the spine flair.
