Spyderco medium bench stone for maintaining the apex.

I also use a standard sharpmaker with the base rods for serrated knives and recurves.

I have a variety of stones going up to 10,000 grit, plus three strops, but over the years I've found they're not worth using. For my uses the edge these two stones give me lasts longer and takes far less time to apply.

Sometimes I polish the back bevel on my carbon steel fixed blades to slow down corrosion near the edge.

In truth though, more often than not, I grab this out of the drawer and touch up an edge. The Goldenstone.

Painters tape for loading compound onto and setting a polish after the stones.
Diamond pastes at 5um, 3.5um, 2.5um, 1.5um, 1um, 0.5um, 0.25um

EDIT: You don't need fancy pants stones for a mirror, sandpaper to 2000 grit then the listed diamond compounds on tape or paper will give you a clean mirror too, and a sharp one at that https://youtu.be/V5t8vhQb54w

No pics but I have an Edge Pro with a set of Congress Moldmaster stones and a couple Shapton glass stones. Then I've got a Sharpmaker for daily maintenance and SE sharpening. Then I've got a Goldenstone in my backpack for field touchups.

Another Edge Pro user here. I started with the basic setup and have added various diamond and cbn stones along the way. I really like cbn, especially for stuff like s30v, s110v, etc..

I am using Naniwa Professional 400, 800 and 3000 grit bench stones. I also got a 400/1000 diamond plate bench stone. Stropping on some leather or wood. Got some basic chromium polishing bars. Also got some cheap Chinese diamond compounds in but haven't used em yet. I'll get some photos later.

Still looking for something better to work on Maxamet and other high wear resistant steels. But lots of new diamond and CBN stuff on the horizon.
Also been considering buying some diamond powder and make my own diamond sprays. People that grind gemstones do it a lot. Powder is pretty cheap to source whereas the pre-made stuff on knife sites is super expensive. Maybe i can even throw some in epoxy and make my own stones. :D
Lots of stuff aimed at the knife crowd is just super overpriced imo.

I saw some topic at bladeforums where a guy used medical tape to load compound on. And with a cheap $20 Ruixin sharpener you can get perfect edges too. Total investment is like 30-40 dollar. I might give this a try. You can put whatever edge pro stone you want on it.

Guided systems are also pretty easy to make yourself with some metal rods and M8 ball joints. Lots of Russians seem to be doing it if you look at their forums (google translate is your friend). They are way more creative than people on english forums. Example:

Nice job. With the right polishing compounds you can make anything shiny.
