Received my two samples today. They both look good and came sharp. I was hoping the g10 would provide a little more traction. Looking forward to put them through their paces on some pheasants this fall.

Pheasants this fall, is exactly why I bought mine as well. Only for over here, on the other side of the river. Where the Pheasants are Bigger! :D

Yes, rounding off the back of the choil and the very first part of the edge was a detail that was on the prototype. I was happy to see the maker picked up on that. It was not done on the first sample we got back. Very easy to sharpen all the way if that is the preference. Thanks, Phil

Hello Phil. After a couple of weeks worth of work and carry, with this knife. I still love it, as much as I did on day one. It truly is, a fantastic knife. Thanks again Phil, for all of your work on this, and for getting with Spyderco yet again. In making this happen for all of us.

I'd like to take this opportunity to ask, if I could please, and if you'd be okay with answering this in public. About another detail that was on the prototype, that you sent in. How thin was your blade behind the edge? If I had to pick one thing I'd like to see changed on this model. It would be to make the blade a bit thinner behind the edge.

One arrived here today from KnifeWorks. Got put to work at lunch time slicing up a tomato and cutting up my sandwich. May not be my last, as I'm very favorably impressed by both the F&F and the way it handles.

Got mine today! Nice curves and smooth in the hand. This is definitely an instant classic. I’m a tad disappointed that the indexing dimple got cut from production.

Slow morning hunting for chanterelles, but the Bow River did get to slice through a few.

I just placed an order for one of these at the Knifeworks. In order to avoid shipping charges I also ordered a Jumpmaster 2, NO, wait!! An Ankerson "Province" to go with it. It will be interesting to see which of these two I like better. :D

I really enjoyed using this knife today. It's a really nice size for mushrooming and also for food prep afterward, and feels great in the hand even with the smooth scales (which I was sceptical about). I really hope to see some sprints or exclusives on this one - new colors, especially. I'd buy a few as dedicated kitchen knives and as gifts for my foraging friends.

I wonder if they will release some with the new sheath.. either way I kind of want a second it's so tempting at this price point. I think I'm going to hold off and see if they have them at the seconds sale

That would be a home run if the price point stayed reasonable. I bet a Bow River in BD1N would fly off the shelves even if it was double the price of the current version.

BD1N isn't possible with the chinese factory that made this run, is it? I thought I remember Sal posting something along those lines a while back.
